From the Artist
- Tell us a bit about this design and what is the message or meaning you're trying to convey.
- I always try to get the key features from a character after you peel the skin and muscle away. You have to look at whats left and maximize the potential to get their personality across. Its honoring the character we love in a 3000 year old art form.
- Who are you?
- I'm Mickel Yantz and I create Día de Muertos sugar skulls out of pop culture characters. This is what happens when a kid grows up reading comics, watching cartoons and drove a 1963 Cadillac Hearse to high school (True story)
