Imagination Mash-UpArchived Tee - 2012-07-26
About the artist
Tell us a bit about this design.
The boy who brought a stuffed tiger to life, mashed-up with the man who turned a felt frog into a living icon!
Where are you from?
Originally, I'm from Omaha, Nebraska... currently... ummm I never left... I'm still in Omaha...
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I am obsessed with He-man and the Masters of the Universe... So if anyone wants to send me their old figures... I wouldn't stop them...
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
I was used as a body double in the movie Magic Mike...
Name a few of your favorite things.
Well for starters, I like music played on a banjo...
The taste of burnt cheese...
The art work of Chris Bachalo...
And most of the crap that flooded out of the 80's and decimated society...
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
As a kid, I was into anything I could make art out of... pencils, pens, crayons, a stick and dirt. You name it, I would use it.
What is your favorite thing about designing?
The freedom to make it how I want it, as much as I enjoy other peoples designs, there is just something fun about doing it yourself.
Imagination vs. reality: which would win the battle?
Well... I want to say Imagination, but I know that Reality, is a cheater... I think Reality would bite Imagination's ear off in the 3rd round.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Honestly, my favorite shirt is a Pittsburgh Penguins shirt I got as a gift from a friend.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Well, if you had asked me when I was younger, I would have said gaming hands down...
And you couldn't have games or movies without reading...
But I really do enjoy sitting down and watching a good movie, or a really bad movie... I'm talking MST3K bad.
Favorite movie is Con Air!!! "Why couldn't you put the bunny back in the box?"
What inspires your work?
I'm not really sure. Most of my designs are completely random ideas that pop into my head. My full time job (cable guy) has me driving around alone alot... so I guess I have time for my mind to wander, which results in either a shirt idea, or prank calling people using various random voices.
