The Only Way to FlyArchived Tee - 2011-11-24

Tell us a bit about this design.
This design is just a play on an airline logo but you know with a flying cloud instead of a plane. I had a ton of different sketches before landing on this and with some suggestions and feedback from the nice people on the forums I was able to tweak it to just what I wanted.
Where are you from?
I am from Massachusetts. About 30 minutes north of Boston. It's a smaller city but I like it like that. Away from the insanity of Boston but not so far away that I can't get in there to catch a Celtics game (Damn you lockout!)
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
That I love interacting with people and will talk to anybody. Also that I'm always down for a good high five. So if somehow anyone ever see's me anywhere don't hesitate to lift a hand up in defiance of subtlety and conformity in displaying the international sign for the request of a high five.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
Well anything that I'd wish no none would find out would be foolish to type here so I will instead put something that some people may know but other's may not expect given where I said I was from. I Teeg Ketchen of Massachusetts do not like the Red Sox (but only because I don't care for baseball, I'm sure as people they're nice enough fellows.)
Name a few of your favorite things.
Movies and games are huge for me. Cartoons as well. I am such a huge animation fan. Regardless of where it was produced if I think it looks cool I am down to watch it. Also just making art, as corny as that sounds given that I made art to get these very words you see here presented to you. I just enjoy making art and I think that is important. If you don't love doing it than it's probably not for you.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
The kind of art I made as a kid is basically the same kind I make now. I draw comics and random illustrations, create characters and worlds. Basically now and back then I just got lost in my imagination when making art and never stopped really (just got better... I hope)
What is your favorite thing about Starfox?
Oh man, there are a lot of things I like about Starfox but we will just start with the basic. He is a fox who flies a space ship and does awesome stuff. Sufficient?
Thundercats vs. Dragonball Z: which would win the battle?
This actually sparked a debate between some friends and I. With much respect to the Thundercats whom I love so much they would get destroyed. Seriously it wouldn't even be fair. I think just one Dragonball Z character could probably just handle all the Thundercats (except for you chiaotzu, god you are useless.)
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
It is a blue shirt with Gary from Poke'mon on it and he is just walking along and it says "They see me strollin' they hatin' " on it. I think this is my favorite shirt for a couple reasons, one because it's hilariously awesome, two because I got it at PAX East 2011 which is one of the best memories I have and lastly because it was bought for me from a friend who flew to MA to join in on the PAX experience.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Though I love movies, and reading for me it's gaming. I love games. The art, the worlds, the stories. I have countless awesome experiences and memories from different games and just different times playing games. I would have to say that my favorite game series is the Metal Gear Solid series (and as nerdy as it may be I completely understand the story and can talk about it for hours). But I also love the Gears of War series and so many more. I love playing games online too and think it's actually a great way to meet new people, that said if anyone wants to meet me via XBOX live feel free my gamertag is ohSNAPitsTEEG.
What inspires your work?
Everything. Pop culture, anime, games, movies, music, other artists. I could talk about so many things that inspire me or influence me but I don't want to waste all of you good people's time anymore.
Any shout outs?
Just the basics, all my family and friends who always have nice words to say about my art, or not so nice when they give it to me straight. Also all the people on the Teefury forums who are always super nice and helpful with tweaks about designs. Also anyone who checks out my blog at www.tketchen.blogspot.com or checks me out on Deviantart. Also I have a twitter and you can follow me @Teeketch if you want but I don't tweet very much (like barely ever.) Lastly and probably most importantly would be a huge shout out and thank you to anyone who buys one of these shirts. Or even those who just look at it and tells their friends/family about it. Thank you everybody.
