Well as most of you knw 8bit is my favorite medium to work in, but I got really excited about this one and here's what I have so far drew on paper scanned into computer to color it in... And yes it's sideways...
I like the idea of the guy on the phone box and the play on "who".
As far as drawing skill, there are all levels of skill and styles. *-bit is good, just work on it, practice to hone it, watch tutorials and find what fits your skill-set and style. Maybe work with other artists or take a photoshop class. Hope any of this helps. Good luck :)
