Fixed your link. Looks good. the only thing I would suggest would be to break up the colors a bit more. You have some spots where too many pieces in a grid are the same color. Some of the lines are off a little, but nothing too serious. I like the idea though.

Thank you very much JRDsgns, I had thought that about a few places. This is the 6th configuration of the shapes that ive done, and this was the most evenly spread of all of them. Maybe I'll try a few more times. Thanks again.

Good Design, I could be wrong but I don't remember white being commonly used in tetris though. Maybe try a purple or Orange. and one other thing you could try is separating the blocks into individual squares

Hi Ratigan, thanks for the advice; I originally had both the "L" shaped pieces and it's mirror image, but had to ssmurf one because of the 6 colour limit. I will change the white to purple and see how it looks. I also tried the individual blocks, but it looked a little messy when two shapes of the same colour were next to each other. Sounds good, I can understand the individual blocks looking when next to each other. I think Purple will look great. Another thing to keep in mind is the color is random.... not all blocks of the same shape are the same color. this gives you a lot more freedom, and lets you include the other block shapes like the 2x2 square. Another thing that I think would be cool but you can take it or leave it is what if maybe just one of the blocks at the top would be in the process of falling into place, like maybe one of the yellow ones on the top of his head. I do really like your design by the way.

Some fantastic ideas there, thanks very much Sam. I forgot the same shape comes in different colours! That would make things much easier! Im getting pretty excited about designing now- i was about to give up last week. I will post another picture of the improved design in the next few days hopefully. Glad to help, don't give up... finish this idea, it's a good one. I could see people (myself included) wanting to buy it.

OK- after a longer wait than was anticipated... here they are: The modifications!
Firstly, here ive changed the shapes to include the 2x2 square and the breaking up of each shape like the classic game. Also, I've included Ratigan's other idea of the random coloured blocks, which i really like. See what you think...

Hey, sorry I didn't comment yet, I didn't know you had posted these.... I think these look great. Nice job. I think I like the last one the best, looks great. It really helps to have the purple ones in there. Whether they accept it or not, It's still a great design. I hope i'm not too late for you to get the comment

Thanks for commenting back Sam, it means a lot. :) I submitted a couple of them, to get the best chance of a print. I really hope it goes well. Im working on a Hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy one at the moment. Question- are you American? I know the HHGTTG books are really popular over here in the UK, but I dont know how well recieved they are in the USA, where most of the sales seem to be. Thanks in advance if you can help out, and thanks too for replying.

Brilliant, I will put up my early ideas here then for you to critique if you would be so kind. (By the way, no obligation here, if you're getting sick of me, just ignore me.) At the moment, im wondering whether or not to put the text on. It says "Dont panic and grab your towel". I liked it, but sometimes the "keep calm" spin offs get bad feedback.
