I've been pondering this design since you first posted it. I don't think the text is necessary, if anything it detracts from the design.
If I could suggest anything that would improve the design, it would be to have the ship weaving between large blue crystaline asteroids with a crystal trail behind its path. I don't know if it's a helpful/useful suggestion, but it's the only thing I could think of that would work with the 2 themes.
