Feedback on my company's new website?

Hey Guys



Just finishing up the final touches on my new website and was hoping to get some feedback. Things you like, hate or have a hard time using. Honestly, any comments would be most appreciated and I know you guys wont hold back. ;)

    This forum is an unusual venue to request feedback regarding a website. However, since my own site is badly in need of an overhaul from its current placeholder state I decided to take a look. Maybe I could find some inspiration ;)

    There's an immediate problem I noticed, the .png photographs used on the pages take a long time to load. I'm a little surprised you chose to use .png rather than .jpeg.

    On the front page the homePic.png took so long to load everything else was already there and I was looking around the page wondering why there was text and arrows with names pointing to a blank space before it appeared.

    Not every visitor will view your website on a powerful desktop connected to a very fast connection. So I would definitely suggest optimising the photos.

    Checking with Firefox, IE and Opera I saw a consistent alignment problem with the Hodwy ribbon. The text of the two paragraphs ended up touching the stitching below them instead of sitting pretty across the middle of the ribbon.

    I also feel that on your services page the repeated use of the single and double unicorn as bullet points started to make the idea of having an image meaningless. You're trying to convey Brand! Identity! Video and Other Stuff!, so to do so with a repeating pair of images that quickly become generic seems counterproductive.

    Instead I would consider to trying sell each point to the viewer by creating an icon or other image that related to the point.

    Aside from these minor issues, I am happy to say my overall impression of your site was good. It's nicely themed, it seems both personal and professional and portrays you as enthusiastic and fun.

    ^Makes my feedback look so useless^

    ....With that in mind.....I think it needs..... more unicorns and...... bacon.
