Stephen King Running Man concept

I've got a WIP concept for a design based on Stephen King's (Richard Bachman) short novel "The Running Man", but I'm worried that not enough people will have read it to get the reference.
Basically, it's a retro-style shirt advertising the game show, easy concept, I'm not a great graphic designer so I'm trying to get it as clean as I can before posting a design. Am I right in thinking it's too unknown for Teefury?

    I loved the story, and the movie so I don't think it's too obscure -- but an idea isn't a design. Post what you have and you can get some real feedback. Looking forward to your post.

    Alright, it's a godawful design so far, but this is what I have:

    I like the logo itself, but the rest doesn't look like a promo poster for a television show. Google some images of current shows promo posters -- walking dead / madmen / office / or even movie posters. I think putting the rest of the text in a context like that will help the design make more sense. Good Luck.
