It may be from the number of shirts you are ordering. I don't really know, but 5.85 shipping for 12 shirts isn't bad at all.

If I had to make a guess I would suggest they want to be able to track orders on what is probably one of their busiest days. It would be colossal headache if even a tiny fraction of the orders got lost and were untrackable on a Grab Bag day.

Shipping is determined by the weight of the package. So if you're ordering more shirts than usual, the shipping options may be different than what you're used to :)

Thanks for the explanation, MJ. I was completely confused when I saw the shipping price change.
