Hitchhiker's guide/Spongebob Design

I was playing with this idea, and I want to know what people think. The two just seem like kindred spirits, y'know?

I was thinking of adding a hanging lamp overhead as well. Also, disregard the shading on the bottom; that isn't meant to be there. All the details aren't quite present, so be gentle.

    I think the raster dots or whatever they are called should be a bit smaller. it doesn't really give the effect of shading right now, it looks rather scruffy. other than that ... lovely idea (although: nobody seems to remember old school Marvin from the TVshow, that makes me kinda depressed, too)

    Thanks I really appreciate your comments. I thought the same thing about the dots, and I'm going to fix that. As for Marvin... To be honest, I really like his new design better. He just seems a lot more pathetic. The old costume is a classic, no doubt, but I just like this one a wee bit more.
