they like it to be done in Photoshop (or GIMP or whatever program you use). Since it cleans up the design and makes it a bit easier to print since it would be saved in PNG or GIF format instead of the JPEG format that scanning a sketch does (since it leaves a lot of messy pixels everywhere ad distorts the image a bit).
