I think we should look at the two major points of the message. Dolphins, and Charles Francis Richter. Now, you might ask yourself, '...what?' Well, let me finish my point Inspector Interruption! If you simply were to look up Richter, you might stumble upon a German toy and pharmaceutical manufacturer (weird combination?) by the name of Friedrich Adolf Richter. A German named Adolf who lived through the war? Teefury wouldn't want to be associated with that kind of image, and thus the addition of the dolphin!

NOW you might be thinking to yourself, '...I'm still pretty lost.', but think about it (and stop interrupting.) Dolphin...Richter. A quick visit to an anagram website solves the rest of the puzzle.

Not on the shirt, he means the icon that is diplayed according to how many shirt were sold.

Well yeah, but how many sold shirts are required to receive this unannounced aquatic mammal? If 500 is popular and 1000 is super popular.... 1500 seems logical, but that's still only a guess.

I would be pleased if it had something to do with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I'm sure that the dolphins leaving the world of their own means would cause some sort of seismic disturbance. Perhaps the only explanation of people buying quite such an astonishing amount of t-shirts is that some of them are using it in place of a towel...

It's simple!
The dolphin, with its jump higher than the sky (Helloween teach!), resembles the altitude of the sales... creating an earthquake beyond the Richter Magnitude Scale! :-]

Maybe the dolphin represents how quickly a shirt becomes popular. Whereas the pancakes represent the number of shirts being sold in all, the dolphin represents a large number being sold quickly.

Or, it and the toad are just hinting at something else.
