TeeFury shirts are a bit baggier than more fitted tees, not a whole size difference I wouldn't say but they sit a little baggier on me.

im 6'0 and 175 pounds and a medium is perfect on me.

I compared my shirt to the size chart as well before my first purchase, and there was an most an inch difference. :/ so medium it was.

If you still unsure, now is the time to get one,
@ $5 a shirt get a small and a medium,

Either gift the unfitting one to a friend or try trading/selling it back on teetrade or on the new teebanter forum.

I didn't know what to get either.. I normally get medium shirts, I'm 187cm and about 85kg...

so i went with medium with 3 grab bag shirts..

As a girl, I am also usually a medium, and take medium for Teefury shirts as well. As simwells said, they're a bit baggier than normal shirts, but after a wash/dry they fit perfectly.
