That's probably because this is based on the Original Gameboy, in the 1980's, before Pokemon existed. From what I see, the imagery all represents games that were for the Original Gameboy. Seeing an Animated-looking Gameboy reminds me of Captain N: The Game Master. And then of course, Mother Brain, who was my favorite part of that series. Lol.

There's a Pokeball in there, though.
I love both of these shirts! Good luck to the artists.

But why is the tee grey? I have to think about this one.
If it was yellow, purple, red, green or blue it would have been an insta buy.

I like that it is grey. The classic gameboy was a white with a grey screen border and stripes.
I like the design and color choice.

the original pokemon (usa, europe versions) were red & blue both of which were black and white on the old school gameboy. Yellow version was released when the gameboy colour was released, it was the first pokemon in colour. besides from that who knows what other versions were out in japan in black and white.

Well, first US release was autumn 1998. That's already the GB pocket generation and not the original one with the pink buttons on the shirt...
