About the artist
About the designer: Today we have a beautiful, artistic composition by Jose Augusto M. Sabenicio, a graphic designer from the Philippines. He's been printed at Teefury several times. If you are interested in seeing more of Jose's work, you can always access an artist's profile by clicking "View Profile" above, or check out his Redbubble and DeviantArt accounts.
Instead of an artist interview, we have a community member interview!
Keep an eye out for more introductions to your fellow Teefurians.
dunz0 is our interviewee today. She loves shirts, and even write about them. Check out her blog!
Where do you participate on Teefury (Facebook, Teefury.com, forums, Lurker)?
Teefury.com, Facebook, twitter
How did you first discover TeeFury?
I first discovered it on the second day it launched. It was the best thing that ever happened, as I loved artsy t-shirts and was super excited to see a new one daily. I found out about it on some t-shirt blog. Don't remember which now.
Describe your ideal shirt (use your imagination!).
First off, it would be orange because that is my favorite color. There aren't many cool orange shirts as it is, so we need to change that! It would also have an awesome conglomeration of monsters designed by artists like Wotto, Greg Abbott, YemaYema, and the_jcw. Perhaps some dinosaurs will be involved, and maybe some Pokemon too. That would be a rad shirt!
What has been your most memorable TeeFury moment?
Probably the time that Emergency Room by Jublin printed. When Pokemon met Teefury, my life was complete. That is one of my favorite shirts to wear today.
Have you ever been asked about your Teefury shirt. Can you tell us that story?
I always get asked about Teefury shirts. There are too many stories to tell!
How many Teefury shirts do you own, which one is your favorite?
I have a handful of Teefury shirts, but have been limiting myself to purchasing the ones that I absolutely need lately. My favorite is Emergency Room by Jublin!
What are some other sites you like to visit?
I enjoy visiting Hypemachine a lot. That's where I discover a ton of music. Other than that, I love frequenting the Kidrobot KRonikle page and toy blogs like SpankyStokes.
Is there anyone in the community you look for? Who's your TF buddy?
Honestly, I love the curators at Teefury. Without you guys, we wouldn't have such cool shirts to look forward to every night.
You've been granted one wish by a benevolent wizard. How do you use it?
I'd get an infinite amount of money. That way, I could buy all the t-shirts that I could ever want!
If you could build a home of your choosing anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?
I'd build a house in Thailand. Being as my family is from there, I'd love to have a home to go to and vacation at.
What's it like being you? What do you do for fun?
It's pretty awesome. I blog about t-shirts and it's a fun hobby :) I'm pretty dorky as I enjoy looking at t-shirts and artwork by t-shirt artists in my spare time.
What do you do for a living now? What do you want to do in the future?
I am working at t-shirt company called Tilteed. I hope to be able to stay in the t-shirt world forever! That would be a dream come true.
When you were 5 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up? Is it still the same?
I wanted to be a doctor. Not really sure what kind of doctor, and it didn't really matter. I just wanted to be a physician who made big bucks. It's definitely not the same now, as I want to spend the rest of my life working in the t-shirt industry.
Do you have any pets? If so, tell us about them. If not, invent some!
I have a fish, and his name is Gilly. He's a purple Betta and he's actually friendly. While the other Betta's hide and are private, Gilly loves to come out and swim around. He likes to chase your finger if you tap his tank, too.
What kind of music do you listen to? Recommend some bands to us!
I love all kinds of music, really. My favorite band of all time is Paramore. I recently discovered a band called Germany Germany that I really like. You should give them a listen!
Are you a Team T-Bird (art) or Team Teevil (pop culture) and why?
Both really. I can't pick one over the other. They both have their place in the t-shirt world.
