About the artist
What's a day in the life of Gabe like?
I work as a graphic designer in the Pacific Northwest, keeping an expanding list of clients happy and sharing time and space with my one-year-old daughter.
Do you own alot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite?
Too many. Most of my t-shirts are plain colors or interesting artwork. I made the decision not to use my chest as an unpaid billboard a few years ago. My current favorite is a design I did for the Big O and Dukes podcast. I'd never seen quarter-inch audio cable used as tail feathers before.
If you could go only to one restaurant for the next five years, which would it be?
It's gotta' be local and it's gotta' be quality. Chain restaurants are for full-time travelers and strip mall enthusiasts. It's a toss up between a couple of family-owned places downtown, one Italian, and one sushi.
What do you like to do for fun?
I recently returned to the stage as an improv performer. Comedy is like your brain is running a race. Improv comedy is like it's doing wind sprints.
Would you rather survive a zombie apocalypse or a nuclear apocalypse?
Where's Jim Belushi in either of these scenarios?
Best villain ever?
Deborah on Everybody Loves Raymond.
Do you collect anything, or at least have any OCD about anything?
I'm not afraid to admit that I own more Transformers than most reasonable adults would feel comfortable with.
If you were stuck on a deserted island, would you want a working computer with a library of computer language books or a computer with a bunch of games on it?
Language is irrelevant on a deserted island, so I'd probably be button mashing my boredom and giving little wonder to where the power for the system is coming from.
MAC or PC?
It's all the same. A nerd is a nerd. The last time that question was relevant Reagan was in office, Mario was 8-bits, and a Terabyte was incomprehensible.
Recommend a product:
I finally got on the Netflix bandwagon and have been freaking out like a freshman in film school.
Any shout outs?
I can't thank my wife enough for her love and support. Also, I can't get through a workday without my top five favorite podcasts: Never Not Funny, The Mike O'Meara Show, Big O and Dukes, The 40 Year Old Boy, and WTF with Marc Maron.
