A word from the curator:
This is the sort of thing that happens when you build a junkyard in the radioactivity zone.
Tell us a bit about this design.
The only way monsters are going to be able to survive in this high paced technology filled world is to blend in... and who knows, some might turn out to be useful. The dream that inspired this was much darker and full of horror.
Where are you from?
I am a sixth generation Floridian.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
Got me start as a professional artist creating creature and special makeup effects for TV and movies. Worked on projects like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
Is that a trick question? How about the horrible public access TV show I was a part of back in the early 1990's. That brings up some scary memories!
Name a few of your favorite things.
My wife, my cat and my sketch pad.
What are your feelings about history?
If we do not learn from it we are doomed to repeat it.
Would you rather invent something or discover something?
That is a tough one because I kind of do both when I design creatures. If I had to pick I would lean toward invent.
Doodling vs. sketching: which would win the battle?
SKETCHING... SKETCHING SKETCHING SKETCHING... FTW. My sketches eat doodles for breakfast.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Red Homestarrunner shirt with the single white star. Simple and to the point.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Gaming. Dungeons and Dragons. While all 3 are great and I partake in them all it is way more fun to get a group of friends together and roll some dice, go on an adventure and have some laughs. ...oh yeah, and smite evil!
What inspires your work?
The amazing natural world around us. Have you seen a cuttlefish? Those things are CRAZY! How can you possibly ever create better monsters and creature then what is already living on this planet? ...and Star Wars and the first addition D&D monster manual had a profound affect on my fragile mind as a child.
Any shout outs?
One to Freddy Thibodeau for turning me onto TeeFury and one to my amazing wife for being my number one fan.

Really cool smurf, btw. My mom used to have a yellow beetle, and I definitely used to imaging that it was a real bug. I like his cute little eyeballs looking out from under the front bumper. Very nice design.

I just bought a shirt a couple days ago, so I'm not sure if I can afford this one, but I do really love the design, and the fact that you've worked on Buffy, Angel, and Firefly!
