Holy moly, this is amazing! I was just researching steamboat willie for an animation history class. The mood is executed perfectly. I think it's so funny that Mickey was so violent and yet his world was usually such a happy place. It's kind of the same with Mario! Once Bowser shows up and kidnaps the princess, Mario is out stomping enemies and getting high off of star power, lol.

I'm not a fan of nintendo or anything having to do with it. Never really did get to play it when I was a kid (that's probably why I don't care much for it).

BUT! I DO love old-timey cartoons. So, I'm definitely a fan of the style of illustration on today's shirt :)

Also, I want me some dead/dying jigglypuff on a shirt (refer to side art) P:

And... the mewtwo is pretty cool. But reminds me of those poor rhesus monkeys that endure horrible cruelties at the hands of 'scientists' :(

If you payed for the basic $2.00 shipping, it can take up to 13 days for delivery. Not to mention that it takes Teefury a while to process their orders daily. You should've already gotten an email saying that your shirt has been shipped. Now your shirt should arrive within 13 days of that date. Just remember to be patient. =D

not going to lie...ur shirt is cute and smart...buuuut when i was a little kid i had a dream that i was with mickey mouse on steamboat willy..and then mickey turned around and had fangs and tried to attack/kill me.....sooo ever sense then i have a hard time with steamboat willy...lol...so please don't take offence...ur work is amazing!

but you know what makes me happy? pugs...bc pugs are awesome(ask jimiyo..he's down with the pugs) and ur pug poster would be an awesome piece in my puggy collection!!...keep me in mind :) ....

Bought it! I can totally picture that if this was an animation, instead of outright stomping on the Goomba, Mario and everyone else would just be swaying cheerfully to some eerie 60's cartoon music.

Awesome shirt! And just in time for the 25th anniversary of the NES :D The console was put on sale for the first time at FAO Schwartz in NYC.

OoOooh, I love that style. You always see Mario all short and stocky and round.. it's a great change, I think, seeing him with such creepy long arms and legs and in such a classic animation-esque style. And just a sidenote... that little goomba looks WAAAY too happy for someone who is about to get smooshed under mean ol' Mario's heel! (that one hill in the background is totally my favorite.. he looks soo nervous and unsure while the other two are all YAAAY! =p)

Here's some silly trivia for "Steamboat Willie" (1928)

Some scenes of what might be considered gratuitous animal violence have been cut including Mickey playing a nursing sow's teats like an accordion keyboard, pulling a cats tail and swinging it around his head, and using a goose as a bagpipe. Some of these cuts have since been reinstated.

Creative and whimsical.....this shirt is a winner on all fronts.

This design is absolutely amazing and fresh, hailing back to the old school black and white Disney days, but I have to admit the choice of t-shirt color would have been more preferable if it were a bit darker gray. The defeated pokemon are HILARIOUS!! Not only are the designs beautiful but the connection to the pokemons' type and most likely way to die are perfect. I want this artwork!!

@jimiyo I think I'm a pretty normal guy when it comes down to it, but I do like to throw a few curve balls at myself. Does that make sense? If you threw a curve ball at yourself would you expect it?

How's that running knee?
Yeah, around this time last year I was running a lot more. It's a fun way to relax and stay fit. This year I'm more into sitting down and staying still. But I'd love to get active again.

Have you ever been recognized IRL by a super art/t-shirt enthusiast?
I have! And to be honest, it was pretty amazing. It was quite unexpected so I think I acted pretty weird about it, but it really made my day.

What was the coolest thing you saw in Thailand? (besides the horrific scene of the CANNIBAL KITTEN!)

I saw Mr Thailand. But really everything I saw there was cool. That place is amazing. Also, I found a knockoff of one of my designs. That was pretty exciting. I bought it.
