Eh. I appreciate that what I suggested was chosen, but I am surprisingly underwhelmed with the design. It's not BAD, but the text sort of takes away from it being clever, and beyond that its like... Idk. I was reallly excited for a new dinosaur shirt (I think I bought every one released in the past 6 months) but I'm pretty unsure about this one.

Where are you located?

What's a day in the life of -Justin- like?

I try to have a good time. Whether it's work, my personal life, or whatnot, I need to be passionate about where I'm at and what I'm doing. I wear my heart on my sleeve, which can be good and bad, but it's the only way I know how to go about life.

Do you own alot of shirts?

If so, what's your favorite?

Funny you ask this. I'm currently designing for a Philly tshirt company called PhillyPhaithful. We did a design called Schmidt Happens, an ode to the Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt and his iconic upper lip-fur. I'd have to say that's my favorite.

If you could go only to one restaurant for the next five years, which would it be?

Hands down Panera Bread. Pretty sure I could also limit my menu choice to just the chipotle chicken sandwich too. It's dynamite!

What do you like to do for fun?

I'm a sports junky. I love playin street hockey or throwing the pigskin around. I'm a huge Philly sports fan which conjures up mixed reactions so I'll leave it at that.

Have you ever had to get stitches? Any battle scars?

No, but I put two nails through my foot doing a photoshoot down in Turks and Caicos (long story). I ended up having a staff infection and had to have an over-night hospital stay once I landed back in the states. Lesson Learned, photoshoots aren't as glamorous as they may seem.

What was your first printed commercial piece of artwork?

The 'GameTime' Scent for Speed-Stick's 24/7 deodorant line. Still have the packaging to this day!

What skills do you think one should have to be a good tshirt designer?

A good tshirt comes down to concept. Simple as that. The best designs are often the simplest. Knowing a thing or two about illustrator helps too.

What's your art process like, from initial sketch to finished product?

Commuting into NYC everyday helps me take the necessary step to flesh my ideas out in sketches. I can't tell you how much this helps. From there I move to the computer but it always starts with a pen and my sketchbook.

What would be your dream job?

Designing the Super Bowl logo

To iPhone, or to not iPhone?

To iPhone! I own the new iPhone4 and despite all the hoop-la I've never had a problem with it. Use it all day, everyday.
