Smurf detracts, but it does help balance out the size of the LEGO man- I think this may be a buy for me- I'll have to sleep on it though, I think I would've prefered this on a red or some other bright T. Awesome idea, and congrats on the print.
Digging the laughing smurf - would have been nicer if it were the original laughing smurf from the 70s (smaller head) but I'm digging the inclusion anyway - smurfalicious!!
I owned all but two of these exact toys as a kid. Still have most of them! I have to admit, looking at this design makes me a little misty with nostalgia.
haven't had a buy in weeks though. everything's been so pop culturey lately... how about a fantastic piece of art? you guys must be sitting on a ton of it, 'cause every once in awhile you present us with a real gem. and i've got a couple of 11 dollar bills burning a hole in my pocket. so let's do this.
Yeah...I was with you 'til the Smurf. I'd have included a plastic Army guy. Everyone I knew had plastic Army guys....but, none had Smurfs. That was always a chick thing.
You speak my language. Would seriously dig the Goldilocks t-shirt also. Small children being brutally mauled by wild animals brings a smile to my face. Demented smile that it is.
Frickinawesome said: So...now we're just putting silhouettes of plastic figurines on shirts and calling it new art? Man, i weep for the future.
Who says a shirt sold here has to fall under the category of "art"? It's a fun shirt. If you don't like it, don't buy it. I'll point out that many people have already bought it.
I only played with LEGO as a kid (I'm still a kid in that regard). Looking at the flickr-page, please-oh-please do the Disturbance in a horse here at teefury! That is probably the best thing I've seen on da Interweb in 2010!
Love the shirt but...Optimus Prime and Voltron werent plastic....they were die-cast metal. At least the original ones were..today they are all plastic...still love the shirt.
I found out about teefury.com when my friend showed me this site. Got hooked up immediately. How she found about this, I have no idea, haha.
Great design, but the colour is dark blue once again. Why not gray or black, even? Dark blue doesn't suit me. Too bad.
PS. The second one on the sideart = :( Not cool, definitely not cool. I hate everything violent, especially if it's "cute gone insanely violent". Way to ruin my childhood favourites, you know.
I found out about TeeFury at the 1 year anniversary of The Graphic Novel Group (London, ON) picnic. Some of the members were expounding on the coolness factor of TeeFury and I just had to find out for myself. They were correct and I have since purchased a few shirts for my boy. Hopefully he'll wear a few on stage to further expand your fan-base. I did see an interviewer at Comic-Con wearing "Love Child" on air and had a nice giggle.
What about Starcom...would have definitely been a suitable replacement for the smurf. If you don't remember them, they were the space men with magnets on their feet. AMAZING TOYS.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNjSd0WqsJ0
So I love the shirt, but I was on the fence because I am suppose to be saving my money, but then I saw Voltron and I knew I needed to get it. This shirt sums up my childhood. Thank you so much for this shirt!
Very cool idea but a site called the Chop Shop has been doing designs very similar to this one for a while now... I'm not trying to take away from the creativity here or calling this a bad design; because I do in fact like this shirt.
Is it sad that I owned every single one of those toys, except Snake-Eyes? Is it even sadder that I can identify the Batman as coming from the 1989 Batman movie starring Micheal Keaton and Jack Nicholson?
i agree with almost everybody who has said "this design is great but could've used _____!" except that there are probably a dozen really good fits for this design that are missing and the ones he chose are an amazing spread of the most popular/influential. i think the design is fantastic the way it is. congrats and thanks powerpig!
This was a no brainer purchase! My son can wear it while he's playing with his dolls... er.. I mean super articulated action figures. I think he has most of these on the shirt, including the Smurf!
congrats on another great print, i am loving the three day hotcakes! though i am more of an artsy fart, i love seeing all this success on fury.
i am a 90s child, but i still loved some of these toys. my brother is in for one of these i think, and my sister loves smurfs.
i just want to tell you that your website MADE MY DAY. your photo skillz are soooo freakaleaking AMAZING! your chinese lego head meal is my laptop background now :]
if only the smurf wasnt on there this would be a mustbuy. As it is the one hour deliberation time allotted has left me with no option but to let this one go.Shame. Brilliant design. Should have been a visionary!!!
Ugh! Teefury doesn't like the IE we use at work! I can't place anything in my cart! Anyone have any ideas why?! I click on the button and it goes blank!

Contact service@teefury.com and let them know what's happening- they'll sort it out :)
rodsouza said: Awesome! But who's the ape-dude-with-belt near Voltron, Lego and Chewie in the right? The only I don't know... = (
Hulk Hogan. He was huge in the 80's before he lost all his hair and his wife left him. They used to make 10" rubber action figures of the popular 80's wrestlers.
I found Tee Fury due to a Podcast called The League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen on Spill.com. Everybody on this page should check it out.....right now.......you shouldn't still be on this page.
Man I missed the chance to buy this shirt. Does anyone know of a way to trade purchase for this shirt? I am new to the site so please excuse my lack of knowledge on these things. Any info would help!
Tell us about this design.
Today's toys are super detailed and super articulated, and that's cool. Still, they'll never come close to the awesome action figures we had when we were young. This design is a tribute to the toys that defined a decade, which for many of us are now abandoned, broken, or simply lost to time
Where are you located? I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It's a hot bed of... um... well given the humidity lately, it's just hot.
What's a day in the life of Chris like? It usually starts with coffee and cinnamon toast and ends in tears. In between, there's sometimes a trip to the toy store to check out the latest arrivals
Why are you an artist? I like to create and entertain. So it's partly about personal expression, and it's partly about making people laugh (or at the very least, smile)
What other interests do have (besides art)? I'm a huge toy fan, though I'm not expressly a collector (it's far too expensive to be a completionist these days). I'm also an avid toy photographer, and you can see most of my work at flickr.com/powerpig.
It seems you are Flickr famous? How did that come about? My Flickr popularity increased exponentially when I combined action figures and—of all things—a chipmunk. My Star Wars chipmunk series of pics has become a very popular (if bizarre) phenomenon, and I quite enjoy the process of taking the pictures. The chipmunks are wild and live in and around my folk's backyard, and they're easily befriended. The challenge is to get them into comical situations where they seem to be interacting with the action figures
What do you want Teefury fans to know? I'm not completely crazy. :D
If you could go only to one restaurant for the next five years, which would it be? I feel as though I should suggest a cool little restaurant somewhere foreign; a hidden treasure that I feel lucky to have uncovered. But if history is any indication of the future, you'd probably find me under the golden arches
What would the you of now, tell the you of ten years ago? Don't get your hopes up—there are still no flying cars. Oh, and don't buy an HD-DVD player
Recommend a product! If you're a photographer, get yourself a tripod from Manfroto. I struggled for years with unstable tripods that would actually shake slightly when the camera mirror swung up, marring my pictures. The Manfroto has fixed that nicely. They're expensive, but as I learned, you get what you pay for.
Any shout outs? Kevin and Matt, who are also big toy fans. They're definitely my enablers:D

It would have been awesome to see a Buzz Lightyear in there, but this is an 80s Toys shirt.
Buzz was just a glimmer in th eye of John Lasseter in the 80s.
A M.A.S.K. figurine, or a hairy Troll would've been a nice addition.
But as it is, it's great!
I'm getting one.
