This is so great, Rob! I love how he's so detailed and then done in just the three colors (including the shirt coming through). The yellow and bright blue look great together.
Your other designs were before my TeeFury time, but I love Midnight Visitor and Windmills & Birdbaths. If TF ever remixes designs, I hope to see those again.

On a Rubik's cube, the white side of the cube is directly opposite the yellow side of the cube; therefore, the two colors never touch. However, this design has both yellow and white on one of the corners. Although most people wouldn't notice this, the design is incorrect.

Next time you attempt solving a rubix cube, don't feel bad! They even give wizards a headache!

Artist location: Oceanside, CA

Tell us about this design.

It's a wizard tackling one of those impossible rubix cubes and he's reaching the breaking point of frustration, exerting all his powers and magical stuff with lightening bolts and zappy things. Oh, and his crystal necklace, like the ones you find at truck stops, that thing is about to pop.

Can you complete a rubix cube?

Nope.

You can have pretty diverse art techniques. What's your favorite style that you have?

Graphite sketchiness.

How do you go about choosing color schemes for a design?

Sometimes I usually have something in mind, like this design, I knew it would be on a dark base color. I then play with the color palette from there. It's easy and fun to adjust colors when you have them separated in different layers (Photoshop). I also pull reference on any color combos I see in magazines, ads, whatever. I also took a color theory class in 1997 at CCA with Jack Mendenhall. That helps.
