What if Snake Plissken was a cat, he'd be
Snake Purrsken, right? Right.

What was your work process for this?

I collaged a whole bunch of images I pulled from the web, changed the image to grayscale, blew out the levels to get a photocopy feel, added some textures here and there. I didn't want to illustrate the idea, as I usually do, because that's not the vibe I wanted. I wanted this DIY punk feel. It's a fun design and I enjoyed doing it. It's always good to play with different techniques. Experimenting is good, kids.

How do you usually come up with your ideas?

I generally always start with a doodle in my sketch book. This particular idea is actually from
an awesome old disco 12" record cover that I saw with cat people. They had human bodies with cat heads and are not to be confused with Stephen King's novel about cat people, that's a different type of cat person.  So I really wanted to do a cat person. I also watched Escape from NY recently and decided it just had to be based off of Plissken and his badazzness.

Are you a cat person or a dog person?

Love em both. Clean up on cats is a lot easier though, anything that poops in a box gets my stamp of approval. My cat actually took a wee in the shower the other day, that was weird.
