About the artistArt curated by
A word from the curator:
In a galaxy far, far away, a different set of musicians made an iconic walk across the road!
Tell us the background of this design?
It was one of those ideas that I had to check online to see if it had been done before, cause it just made so much sense! I didn't find anything, so I sat down and worked out my design... I've seen quite a few "Abbey Road" designs in the past, but the Cantina Band Members just seemed to fit perfectly! And to add to it, I liked the fact that they all basically the same!
Which art style would you most like to learn?
I don't know if you could consider it an art style, but I would really like to try my hand at Cake Decorating. Like theme cakes. I would need to learn how all the ingredients co-exist and work together, but I think it would be a lot of fun! Especially using the fondant...
If you had a time machine, which era would you visit first?
The 80's... And I'd bring with me a Sports Almanac so I can make some sports bets while I'm there. And I would pay special attention to make sure I steer clear of anyone named Biff...
What goal do you most aspire towards?
I would LOVE to one day see one of my designs being sold in an actual store! I had a design in a store once already, but it only made it to a couple of locations and none of them near me. On a side note, I also think it would be cool to randomly run into someone wearing one of my designs... Of course, I bet they probably wouldn't believe me if I said I designed their shirt! But that would still totally make my day!
If you could stop any t-shirt trend in its tracks, which would you end? What trend would you like to see started?
The one trend I could do without is the faux long sleeves sewn into the short sleeve so it looks like you have 2 shirts on. Yeah, you're not foolin' any one with that bub! One I would like to see started is musical shirts! You could lift up your arms and it would play "Dare to be Stupid" by Weird Al! *Crickets* It will catch on, I can be patient...
Would you rather slay a dragon or fly one?
Fly one, for sure! If I had a dragon at my side, man I could jump to the front of the line pretty much anywhere I go! And my commute to work would be like 10 minutes! Although, I am not sure where he'd stay when I am at home and I really don't want to worry about picking up dragon poop... Hmm, I may have to reconsider this and get back to you...
Bigfoot vs. yeti: which would win the battle?
Yeti. They are usually around the Nepal/Tibet regions, so they have probably trained with Monks in Tibet, giving him an edge over Bigfoot, who has probably only trained in Karate from a dojo in Seattle... Bigfoot doesn't stand a chance! Unless Mr. Miyagi stops by and teaches him the crane kick...
Describe the first shirt you ever designed.
I believe it was a relatively simple yet highly photo-shopped design I came up with for a get together YEARS ago. It actually didn't turn out too bad, but I have definitely gotten better at this whole design thing...
What has been your most inspiring art experience?
Wow, I cannot think of just one! So many things inspire me and it usually happens at random times. Some of my best ideas come to me when I am just zoning out! But being in my favorite places (Disneyland, San Francisco, any place there is air, etc.) definitely does help the process along!
Any shout outs?
I am tired of shouting... My throat hurts... Maybe a good wave to everyone that is reading this! Thank you everyone!
