I love it. First of all, when I was a little kid I wanted to grow up to be a Dinosaur, and so this makes perfect sense. Second, I LOVE the Tetris reference at the top of the brick wall. If I wasn't poor I'd be getting this shirt in a nanosecond.
Resistance I like your imagination; I used to think I was a sabre-toothed tiger when I was on my way home from school.
Of course we didn't have "Jurassic Park" back then. Or Rubik's cubes...
SUCH a rad shirt!!! I wish I had a job so that I could support this artist! I'm a fellow clothing line owner but have failed to print shirts at all because I have no money haha. But congrats on the print Resistance!
rtofirefly said: The fact that he's pretending to be a T-Rex also reminds me of the dad from Step Brothers, which I'm sure is unintentional but still made me laugh :)
Haha I thought of that too! I think it's a super easy design to understand. It's awesome :) Great work Resistance!
Not a buy, but I do like the design. Very nice work.
"I think we dream so we don't have to be apart so long. If we're in each other's dreams, we can play together all night." ~Bill Watterson, Calvin & Hobbes
I think this is great! Totally reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes too! I don't know if that was the artist's intention, but this is awesome! It also reminds me of my older brother... who probably still imagines himself as a t-rex :P
Praying Mantis for the WIN! Please Make it a Fury Print!
Love me some Praying Mantis! Have a Full Rib piece tattoo of one, Jones Soda bottle, toys, etc... o¿o
Congrats on this print. What's not to get? Love it!
rtofirefly said: Really cool design :) To those saying 'I don't get it' I feel sorry for your childhood! Did you not have an imagination?
The fact that he's pretending to be a T-Rex also reminds me of the dad from Step Brothers, which I'm sure is unintentional but still made me laugh :)
I think the tetris part in the background is what's kind of confusing. I don't get the connection with the t-rex. As for the pretending part - who didn't do that? hehe
princessdani said: LOVE IT!!! does anyone know if a small in the mens t shirt would be way too big for a 10 year old? My son LOVES these shirts!
My son (average size, age 11) has a couple of 'mens small' and they are pretty big on him, he's into Nirvana and stuff though so he doesn't mind the long and loose grungy look. ;)

Love the idea and love the art!! Would have been an insta-buy if instead of a dinosaur it was like a superhero silhouette. Also would have been an insta-buy if we could get kiddie size shirts.
for the people who don't understand the idea behind this shirt read a calvin and hobbes comic. It's super funny and may clear any confusion. Also read what the artist wrote on the side. He combined his love for video games (tetris/NES) along with larger than life creatures.
That's kind of an interesting mash up of three different things that have nothing at all in common. A kid's shadow w/ a backpack, in turn has a shadow of a dinosaur on a tetris wall.
Unless that's not a kid's shadow, but a black cardboard cutout of a kid with a backpack that has a dinosaur shadow on a tetris wall.
The design itself is well executed, if utterly perplexing.
Reistance is choosing 5 random winners for every

Tell us about this design: The design, A Boys Imagination, is something that came to me when I was thinking about being a kid with a wild imagination. Fans of Calvin and Hobbes should be able to relate to Calvin's huge other worldly imagination that took him to space, prehistoric times, and dangerous encounters. I remember pretending to be animals and dinosaurs all the time as a kid, also mixed with day dreams of beating the next level on my NES. This piece mashes up the two things that consumed my mind as a young boy: video games and larger than life creatures.
Tell us about yourself: I'm an aspiring graphic designer/artist. I've always been off and on with sketching, taking breaks for a few years then picking it back up again, but have recently decided to dig in and really hone my drawing skills again. A Boys Imagination is actually an old piece that doesn't show my newer style like some of the side art. Like anything, the more you practice the better you get, and I'm getting more and more excited about how my work improves. I'm also trying to get my own line of shirts off the ground.
What other interests do have (besides drawing)? I really want to start my own t-shirt business. I live in a very art loving city and hope to develop a following and get something up and running in the next year. I really enjoy seeing new artists and styles getting printed and showcased to the public.
Why are you an aritst? I'm an artist because my mind never seems to "shut off". The best way to get what is inside my head out into view is by drawing and designing. I've always liked the idea of being able to picture something in my mind and have it become an objective and viewable reality.
What do you want Teefury fans to know? I want them to know that they can get free stickers anytime they help out The Resistance. I want them to know that my first shirt is now available and hope to have a more in depth line up of shirts soon. Also, we will be doing t-shirt drawings fairly regularly.
If you could go only to one restaurant for the next five years, which
would it be? Definitely, Qdoba. I may have actually done this if not for needing to save money. LOL
What do you like to do for fun? Play XBOX 360, watch movies, listen to music, draw, sketch, and design. I have a friend that is a huge movie fan as well and we are going through a must watch list this summer.
What do you do for a living? I work at a tech support help desk.
What was your first printed commercial artwork? My first printed commercial artwork was "King Pong" right here on Tee Fury!!!!
How did that feel? It felt amazing. My wife was so proud and took a picture of the shirt once it showed up and posted it on facebook! :)
What would be your dream job? Running a t-shirt company that showcases new and amazing talent.
Any shout outs? At this point my shotouts go to all those who are already part of The Resistance and hope to have many more followers soon!
