I wish like hell I was a fan of Dr. Who. Purely so I could buy this shirt, wear it, and be like, "Hell, yes, I know who Dr. Who is."
As it is.. alas. I've never seen a single episode.

While I agree Tennant was pretty awesome. It's too early to tell who is better. Ha ha, get it? WHO is better, ha ha. But anyway, I think Matt Smith so far is pretty convincing. I love a silly Doctor Who, rather than a James Bondy, smooth one.

I love Doctor Who! While I loved David Tennant so much, and cried at his tearful, "I don't want to go," I think that Matt Smith was a wonderful choice for the new Doctor. I am definitely buying this shirt. It is amazing, nuf said.

Tell us about this design:
After watching the premiere of Doctor Who series 5, I was so blown away at the new direction of the episode, that I wanted to capture it with a piece of design. I took inspiration from those optimistic Tomorrowland style posters, which seemed fitting for The Doctor.

Where are you located?
I live in York, England, but study at University in Newcastle Upon Tyne at the moment!

Tell us about yourself:
I have always been interested in drawing and cartoons. Once I started playing with Photoshop when I was 15 I instantly saw the potential for digital art. Since then I have been using a mixture of both and try to keep a happy balance. I am currently studying Motion Graphics and Animation at Northumbria University, learning how to make my graphics move might be the most exciting thing I have ever done!

What inspires you?
Anything that has a clear and distinct style, whether that be intentional or not. My first go at poster designing I looked into old Soviet propaganda posters, before being shown the work of Shepard Fairey. Basically I am inspired when you can tell that an artist has had fun with the work and there is passion in it. People like Eric Tan really inspire me, he designs posters because he loves to.

If you could go only to one restaurant for the next five years, which would it be?
A few months ago I started going to Yo Sushi, and me and my girlfriend have made it our treat every other Monday. I never thought I would like sushi so much, so probably there. But if anyone has any better sushi alternatives please let me know!

Have you ever had to get stitches? Any battle scars?
Never any stitches, fingers crossed! Though I have the one scar on my index finger where my dog bit me in a fit of confusion. He was apologetic afterwards though.

How did you get your start in art?
My mum was a practicing architect when I was a baby, and when she was drawing I would imitate her in my high chair just wanting to copy. My parents then pushed me to carry on, by either packing drawing things on holidays, or by buying me art books for my birthdays. I've got them to thank more than anyone for getting me started.

What's your art process like, from initial sketch to finished product?
For poster designs or other digital work, I would usually start with research into the kind of work I want to produce, then doodle some thumbnail sketches to get the basic blocking down. Then I build different elements in Photoshop or Illustrator and compile them. I tend to work in 3/4 colours, I enjoy the limitation of having less colour to work with. Once everything is working I go in and add details such as texture. But it all starts with having the right source material for me, so I have the right feel before I even start.

What are a few of your favorite websites?
Stumbleupon - Its so much more than just channel hopping for the internet, It can often throw up some fantastic artistic gems.

DrawerGeeks - Go and check out the categories for different artists take on each character.

Paul Thurlby - His Illustrations are absolutely awe inspiring.
