Definitely considering getting this. I love that the design was made using a wood block, I'm a sucker for anything printmaking. Ah I want it just not sure I have the funds.

I really like this. It's not necessarily something I would wear, but if I saw this as a print I'd totally buy it. It's pretty awesome.

Fancy new site and still no kid sizes eh? I would have bought two of these for my little girls.. Or maybe even more (there are five kids over here ya know ;)) This is a pretty sweet design. There seem to be at least a few "deeper meanings" buried ever so subtly in there.

Pretty cool. I like the woodblock/linocut style.. definitely something not often seen on tees. I will settle for my Wolverine Van Gogh though.

Also, after hemming and hawing and I decided to purchase Ape Kong, I wasn't able to because the site was down for maintenance. Um.. is a future grab bag my only hope?

I don't like the new set-up at all. It feels/looks just like all the other tee shirt sites now. :-( But I am glad to see the gallery is back.

As for the design... very cool, but not something I would wear
Also, is that a spelling/grammar error I see? It's hard to tell if there is an apostrophe or not, and that would tweek me out constantly.

Lovin the shirt but my GalacticTreasury account is getting very angry with me. I'll have to think about this one. Also, the white is a little bit of a turn off.

Words from the curator: It's hot! Time to pack those black shirts for later and start reflectin some rays with a clean white shirt printed with a wood block style Punk Van Gogh! It's a perfect shirt to let people know you support the arts, or are an artist yourself. People will dig your shirt, and young holligans will leave you alone cause you have a cool shirt! Get some!

Tell us about this design: A friend asked for some help with a zine for an exhibit at the MCASD (Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego) called Art Is Life/Art is Death. I took the “Punk’s Not Dead!” battle cry and applied it to one of Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic self-portraits. My wife did the visual modifications and I carved out the linoleum block. We knocked out the print on our dining room table.

Where are you located? San Diego

Tell us about yourself: My passion is writing. Zines, stories, novels. Check out my book of short stories, Big Lonesome. My wife, Nuvia, is the real artist in the family. Check out her stuff at www.artecrisol.com.

How did you get your start in art? I learned how to use a letterpress so I could make my own
wedding invitations, but once I started messing around with linocuts, I was hooked.

What inspires you? My beautiful wife.

If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it? Build a studio. Make that two studios: one in San Diego, and another in Oaxaca.

Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years with your art career or other? Honestly, I see myself supporting my wife’s art as passionately as she supports my writing.

If you could own an exotic animal as a pet, what kind would you have, and what would you name it? A stuffed fantod named Earbrass.

What are a few of your favorite websites? Razorcake, HTML Giant
