How would you describe your style? Do you enjoy working in multiple styles?

I describe my style as 'curviangular'. Kind of a cartoonish impressionism. Maybe it's based on my own poor vison, but I like using simple general shapes and limited palette to form an image that reads well at a distance. Vector programs have made it very easy to do this, but I still enjoy a good, slow, detailed hand illustration from time to time.

What's your perfect breakfast dish?

A bowl of cereal in almond milk, actually. Once I would have said a big greasy platter from Huddle House, but I've since turned vegetarian. Mmmerica is kind of about that.

Tell us about this design.

Bacon is just one of those things that is disgusting but delicious. It's all American. Salt. Grease. Fat. Meat...and yet it's magical.

Do you have any guilty pleasures when it comes to food?

More with candy and chips- junk food. Often I still enjoy sweets and salts a bit too much. And I bounce between them. if i eat candy, I have to neutralize it with something salty, and vice versa...on and on until I run out or someone reboots my system.

How do you approach and complete a piece like this?

As stated above, I wanted to make it very simple, but readable. Almost trompe l'oeil at a distance, but impressionistic up close....very easy to screen and print in a few colors. I love stretching a limited palette whenever I can.
