Weird the shirt honestly scared me for a second.
This got me thinking though... what’s with the lack of Zombie Ninja Pirates characters in today’s entertainment industry. The fact that there isn't any makes me think as a society we have dropped the ball.

I really want this shirt but i've had a new shirt arrive in the post everyday this week and my wife has been giving me greasey or impatiently tapping her foot every time she brings the mail into my office. I haven't told her yet but i still have another couple to arrive in the coming week.

I love this! After purchasing the hilarious Pandora Blueskins from WinterArtwork (which, I will wear whenever I'm watching the NFL), I found this design to be a great piece of art!
I know it has everything, but I especially love the close-up on this sinister individual.

Also, you might not have noticed, but that rectangular shape that hints of the cowl or headgear that the Zombie Ninja Pirate is wearing; it appears that it could have been used as a comic panel, as well. And I love comic panels! So Mr. Wahl, I like to say that you managed to hit two birds with one shuriken!

a ninja zombie pirate would collapse in on itself due to contradictory existences. For example, one ninja by itself is greater than 100 ninjas whereas 100 pirates is greater than one pirate by himself. I think that this shirt is truly the beginning of a tear in the universe.

Love the first part of the design idea...ninja...would have like to see a real faint hint of a jaw line with just the piercing eyes. Just not into the whole Zombie thing.

This shirt is awfully confusing. Awfully.

If the artist had rendered a skull remotely resembling the skull-n-bones flag, maybe it would have a chance at working for anyone who isn't given the shirt's "title," but he chose to use a skull that looks almost identical to the Punisher logo, which is the only thing about the shirt that might make any sense to anyone not already in on the gag. Punisher zombie ninja pirate.

It doesn't work.

But if you want to wear something that's bizarre and confusing just for the effect of having a shirt that nobody else has or that will elicit questions from friends who have enough curiosity and interest to ask, then Bon Appetite.

This is definitely well drawn, but unfortunately, not something I'd buy/wear.

I don't want to be one of the 'furians WinterArtwork makes fun of, and I certainly don't want to break the rules about simple "no thanks"-posts without constructive critisism, but... I don't have anything constructive to say. Nice design, just not for me. Looking forward to hopefully seeing more from Chris Wahl, though!

Tell us about this design:

Originally this idea started out just with the ninja. I liked the idea of the ninja mask incorporated into a black shirt with the eyes staring out. But it needed something extra. The eye patch was added making it a Ninja Pirate and finally the zombie detail was added just to make it even more outrageous. Thus was born the ZombiNinjaPirate!

Tell us about yourself:

I'm a commercial artist and illustrator living in Sydney, Australia. I like exploring many different styles in my art mainly due to my short attention span.

What's a day in the life of Chris like?

Reluctantly wake up at 7:30 am, help my wife get our son off to school. Head upstairs to the office. Depending on what needs to get done, I work, surf the web or draw for myself. Pick son up from school. If I haven't a deadline I spend time with the family. After the son's bedtime it's back upstairs again, then off to bed around 1-2am.

What inspires you?

People with motivation and passion for what they do.

What advice would you offer to aspiring designers/artists?

Learn to welcome criticism. Draw all the time. Meet your deadlines no matter what.

What would the you of now, tell the you of 10 years ago?

Stop playing video games and draw more!

Have you ever had to get stitches? Any battle scars?

No stitches but I do have two pencil related injuries. The first was from when I was 10 and I was stabbed in the ankle by a girlfriend's little brother (he didn't like me obviously), the second was from fooling around one day working at the Disney Studio and I impaled my left hand on a friend's pencil. Both bits of graphite are still embedded and visible. I guess they're appropriate injuries for an artist to have. Ironically though neither were sustained while drawing.
