I'd wear the bat shirt on the side art, and the triangle guy... but this? While the lettering is cute, there's just not a lot TO it. "Today is a good day"... Yeah, so? You want a cookie? If you wanted to express a cheery sort of carpe diem attitude, there are a lot more artistic and evocative ways of doing it.

@spider villainy: At least as far as I know, this isn't just a font. And messing with fonts to get the right image and message across isn't that easy. Also, maybe I've not looked in the right places, but unless you already have a DIY kit and a shirt to print on, 9 dollars is pretty swell.

That being said, light blue is NOT my colour -- I might actually buy a men's shirt just because I think this would make me happy in the morning though.... :-)

@Hoser: Yes it does remind me of the "life is good" line. Too much, in fact. This would be a great $9 shirt at baby Gap or some other location. I wouldn't buy this (or recommend anyone wearing this) for anyone over the age of 4.

I really like it. But DUDE, girls don't always want light blue. I enjoy the guy's green a lot more and would just get that, but even the smallest would be huge on me. Maybe teefury should consider allowing customers to choose b/w two colors.

As far as today's design goes, I can't complain. I won't buy it and I wouldn't wear it. But I'm all for a positive message. Besides, it's just so gosh darned cute.

What was your process for this design?

I drew a bunch of letters, and then told them a joke

What do you do when you're not art-ing?

Work in a bar, sleep, drink in a bar, read (sometimes in a bar, sometimes not), and learn stuff about weird animals

Do you usually listen to music while you draw? If so, who/what?

I listen to music pretty much constantly. When designing I usually play something pretty mellow. Right now I'm finding Kings Of Convenience fit perfectly into the background of whatever I'm doing, art or otherwise

Where does the name "Bramish" come from?

Not really sure what prompted 'Bramish' specifically but it was a word I made up during a game of Scrabble that has since become a versatile yet completely useless adjective. I'm not as big a geek as that answer makes me sound by the way.

Are there certain times of the year when you're feeling more inspired than others?

I would usually have said no, since my periods of creativity are generally pretty short-lived and sporadic, but I've found in the last two years I tend to design more and have more decent ideas during the first 2 or 3 months of the year. I hatch amazing plans and set myself totally attainable goals for the year which are then forgotten by around May when I become jaded and unmotivated again.
