Are you a horror movie kind of guy? If so, what's your favorite?

I want to be a horror movie kind of guy, but horror movies tend to suck. Don't even get me started on the last act of 28 Days Later. I do tend to enjoy exploitative entries in the genre though: Shaun of the Dead, Grindhouse, Scream 1 and 2, The Evil Dead Series and to some extent I would even include Hot Fuzz for its slasher film style antagonist.

Do you have any guilty pleasures?

I have watched the cat in the hat live action movie a few times. Its so bad and weird and creepy that its insanely entertaining to my sensibilities.

Is there anything you won't draw?

I tend to stay away from real life monsters like Hitler, Stalin and Bin Laden, mainly because even a parody still inadvertently caries on their legacy and allows them to continue to live in the minds of the people. I have drawn a few real life bad guys though, so never say never, I suppose.

Who was your first artistic role model?

My mom. I wish she still painted.

What do you think is the most defining characteristic of your work?

People tell me I have a style, but I dunno, I think I do a lot of different stuff (the sidebar would not support that). I definitely like to juxtapose seemingly disparate subjects to reveal conceptual parallels...like mega man and terminator in the side bar art. Both are humanoid robots programmed to fight against a bunch of other robots that try to take over the world (at least in T2). So I figured maybe underneath that humanoid exterior there are more similarities.
