Great design, love the Kermit-skeleton-ohwaitthatsjustthepuppeteershand-thing going on there. I just worry that if you were to merely glance at it though the whole thing wouldn't sink in right away. Like when I first looked at it without reading the text I thought it was a gecko or just some animal, not exactly recognizable enough you know? Still though, cool, cool stuff.

I wouldn't worry. A mere glance probably doesn't award recognition to very many designs. What's the next degree of looking, anyway? A glimpse, I think. And then there's noticing, which leads to an observation. By the time the examination develops, the nature of this design should be pretty well established. In the case of this particular design, the time spent between the glance and the identification will probably take the average human being in the U.S. of A. about......oh, what do you think? About two or three seconds? No, I wouldn't worry. I hope this helps.

Your first comment is (and has always been) there, you just didn't win. The only comments removed were the ones erroneously complaining about being deleted. You can probably still see the first comment listed on your profile page.

Protip: Complaining about moderation on the front page always gets deleted. If you must complain, there's a thread for that.

I can't believe I missed yesterdays shirt! It had dinosaurs... I like dinosaurs.

Shame you should be ashamed

Not meaning to sound mean or anything, but artists have independent ideas that are the same or similar all the time. Gary Larson and Berke Breathed have commented on it, as have several musicians. Whether or not Mr. Kemble saw this in 2005 when it was published is moot. I personally believe he's telling the truth, and I have no doubt that if he did see it, then this is an honest mistake.

It's also a killer design, so let him be.

Indeed. The idea might be similar, but the execution (cartoon vs. penciled t-shirt drawing) is very different.

When I saw this this AM, I giggled and instantly bought it. So dang funny especially since I was only 3 when the show hit the airwaves and I was their targeted demographic. Sad that Henson is dead now but that voice lives on and on.
