You don't (want to) know where that finger's been/going. Interesting art and it's trippy to be sure, but I don't think there's enough context (like enough of the door and too much face showing) in the artwork for people to make the Shining connection. He does look like he's gone off the deep end, so you nailed the insanity expression.

Wonderfully creepy, and a neat color. I'd buy that for a dollar!

Now I had to invest 18 times that amount (including shipping), but it will be worth it to freak out children and other easily freaked out people this summer. Considering the shipping time from Teefury to Sweden on my latest orders, it probably will be summer when this lands in the mail box. Still, worth waiting for.

Good Gotham! That is freaky as all heck. Definitely lawl-worthy, but I'm not so sure that I'd want that on a shirt. Scares the buhjeebus outta me. BUT, it is a very clever design, as are all the ones on the side art.

Tell us about this design:

'The Shining' is one of my favorite movies. I've never found any shirt to make it justice, though, then I decided to make one myself. The idea of having the ET stroke me when I was on a bus. I figured it would be much more fun to have a lovely and cute character with that psycho expression. ET was my choice for being a dude you would never expect to crack up and go all insane murdering people. The finger shining occurred to me only when the design was ready and I was looking for a name for it. I thought it was the perfect final touch and then everything came together.

What's a day in the life of Joao like?

Work, The Wire, football, orange juice.

What do you want Teefury fans to know?

Sometimes I can levitate.

Do you own a lot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite?

I've got a bunch. My favorite's an old Bud Spencer's. It's pretty simple, his face on white on a plain black tee. I've had it for more than ten years and I plan never to get rid of.

What inspires you?

Buses and trains. My best ideas always strike me when I'm on the move. This and David Bowie.

What do you do for a living?

Design and illustration mostly. Sometimes gambling.

How did you get your start in art?

I graduated in Advertising back in Brazil and started to work as an Art Director at Ad Agencies. The world of illustration is quite new to me, I started doing it as a hobby only 6 months ago and now I'm in love with it.

MAC or PC?

I don't even remember what a PC is.
