Oh my god I love this design, but army green is one of my least favorite colors (it simply does not look good on me) : Headphones & Mona Lisa side art are both fantastic as well.

this tee is so rad! the design is really well thought out and i really like the people at the bottom, really brings it all together well. not to mention its nice to see the fury branching out with its blank colours!

I interpret this design as the "head-honchos" of society are always monitoring your every move, causing mass paranoia among the public. I feel this is true in today's world!

I think the colour of the cameras themselves have been changed to suit the Tshirt colour, and it looks fantastic.

This is a really really cool shirt, those camera-faces remind me of the monitor-heads on G4, and the people on the bottom look like kanji from far away.

It's a comment on modern governments (especially in the UK) who want to monitor and intrude on our every move and thought. CCTV cameras have become so omnipresent that we forget to question why they are there and who is watching. Thanx for the kind comments BTW.

Awesome design! The olive-drab t-shirt colour is very appropriate for this Big-Brother-esque image.
I must admit, like a few other people, when I saw the small version I thought the people on the bottom were actually kanji. I'm very happy that they are not - this sort of phenomenon is far too universal to associate it with just one culture like that.
The large CCTV people standing over everyone does bring to mind the question "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" (Or, "Who watches the watchmen?", if your Latin is rusty). Again, a very nice and timely design.

GOD i want this! but i must resist temptation and stick to my 6 shirt grab bag declaration. Also, print the mona lisa dots and i might just have to break that vow

Wow Ross, your work is really interesting. Lots of stuff that made me giggle, think, or just that I could relate to. I love the one with the bird and the maple tree, I might buy it off that other site when I can scrounge up some money (just had a very expensive knee surgery for my dog, so it might be a bit). Grats on some real talent and awesome creativity.

I love this design. I work as security for federal facilities and spend the majority of my day staring at a cctv monitor. Really like the side art also. Hope to see more from this artist.

See now THIS design is awesome.... I can respect the idea as well as the execution. Smooth clean lines, Great colors, interesting effects with the dissipation lines across the bottom of the figures, and the miniature foot traffic just ties it all together and and really gives the piece some power. All the praise aside - I'd like to use the opportunity to say this: We are all artists, making art here. Art is open to be viewed or interpreted by any one as they see fit. If I thought a design was pure smurf, and I said so, thats fine. The artist who created it obviously knows each and every one of their works aren't going to speak personally to EVERYONE. Criticism is constructive and helpful no matter how crudely worded it may be, as long as it received with an open mind and heart, and given thoughtful consideration. Seriously though I have seen honest feedback and critiquing get bashed on this site cause some people round here feel no one should utter a bad word against the art as it might disrespect all the artists "hard work". This attitude is so naive its laughable (it's kinda like you're saying every design on here is GOLDEN and untouchable, which is false - about 35% of the designs on this site are godawful, and are only being printed here cause no one other company would dare). Those of you who went to a decent art school are very used to critiques and even getting bashed a bit by your professors, and understand criticism is a necessary part of the design process. Those of us who went to top art and design schools are mostly only used to getting negative feedback, in a positive manner mind you, but still... The ones whining and nit-picking over other peoples comments - grow a pair. My two cents - sure it will generate some nonsense responses.

Seriously, read this site's posting guidelines. We have no problem with polite constructive criticism. There is a huge difference between constructively showing an artist that there is room for improvement and blatantly insulting the artist or other posters. The former is okay (and encouraged), the latter will be deleted and may even lead to banning.

Often, posters complaining about other posts are talking about things so bad they had to be removed. For instance, comparing the artist to a famous dictator based purely on a dislike of their design, or threatening behavior towards other posters (both of which happened yesterday).

We're moderating comments for a reason ;)

teefury is a business... they don't make kid sizes yet but if the market shows that's what the masses want then that's what they'll sell. i'm not speaking for anybody (especially not teefury) but it would be stupid not to. art is great and amazing but it can be profitable too... you can make art to be noticed but can you survive on recognition??? if you want to live, you must make money.

The $9 TeeFury screenprint certainly is. If you'd prefer to pay $20+ for a direct-to-garment print from another site (RedBubble is a site like CafePress that allows artists to upload graphics), you are certainly welcome to do so :)

While we prefer to print work that has yet to be seen on any site, DTG or otherwise, we're willing to make exceptions for work like this design, which was requested by many posters when it was previously seen in the side art.

Finally someone with some background haha. I totally agree with you man. I, only being in my second year of design school, think that critiques (especially the brutal ones) are the most helpful part of the learning process. Any crit is good crit! ALSO PLEASE PRINT THE MONA LISA DOTS! Wow that is simplicity at its finest!!!

Lovin the design. This totally brought Banksy and 1984 to the front of my thinking box, which can only be a good thing! An issue close to my heart it is estimated that on an average day in the uk our image is captured close to 200 times!! Scary, but a trend that worries me more is individuals putting cameras up and filming public areas, this is not covered by any legislation, and opens up a minefield of liberty arguments. If you've ever had the pleasure as I have of being in the CCTV control room watching a lard arsed government official in ill fitting polyester slacks zooming in on images of kids throwing snow balls at each other, the reality of big brother is about as depressing as we have the ability to imagine. I'm buying this for my hubby who successfully bid to get funding for cameras to prevent crime in our neighbourhood. I leave you to imagine the fun conversations at our dinner table!

Like the concept , but I don't think I will be getting this one.

Not crazy about politicizing my chest for anyone or anything (surveillance, more often than not, is your private and public friend), but I am having a hard time refusin' this one. The design has a remarkably economic and effective perspective. Giants watching the little people doing their daily things, surreptitiously fading away at the roots of daily life. Niceeeeee... The chimp and headphone side art are winners too.

I think I will get it. I really like the Mona Lisa design also.

Comparing getting "bashed" here with what a prof in art school would say is ridiculous. In art school you are PAYING people with CREDENTIALS to judge your work and TEACH you how to fix it. They are supposedly better then you at what you do so you listen and learn. Here there is no gauge to decide what an opinion is worth. So by your logic when a teenager who has NO ART EXPERIENCE AT ALL says "wow your shirt design is worthless dude" or "I'd wear that if i were 5 years old haha" you think that critique should be "received with an open mind and heart, and given thoughtful consideration"??

The rule is simple, you can be negative as long as you are nice about it. How is that difficult? It's not actually.

I came to this site today because somebody told me they were OUTRAGED that this shirt was a rip-off of a design I had printed a while back.

The composition is much the same and the subject is similar, but I think it's pure coincidence. Congrats on the print!

Once you mention FF VII, they do remind me of the Turks. 2nd from the right is the blond.

This is a very interesting design. Consider my thoughts provoked.

The message of this tee is kind of trite and overdone. Also, in combination with the shopping cart design on the right, it makes me feel the artist is drawing a little too obvious on Banksy for themes (though not style)... nothing wrong with looking to other great artists for inspiration, but if I know at a glance where you're getting something, it's probably too overt.

However, I love the splatter monkey. Halftone Mona Lisa is also kind of cool, though I don't know why people always choose that particular painting to redo in alternate media; there are plenty of others that are equally recognizable.

Cory Doctorow would approve (or disapprove depending on your take.) Cool design.

I think this is a great design...well executed and very appropriate when considering current affairs. It's not too busy...the line work is clean and very appealing. AND I love the color. I like a large spectrum of color when it comes to clothing and considering the theme of the shirt the color is very fitting...will be back later to snag one!

On a sidenote, LeRenard, I just have to tell you that I love your avatar pic...I miss Stargate Atlantis and SG-1.

Big brother? More like Giant Brother. Jk cool design . I like the lines and the color. All of the side art is great as well. Very graffiti style. Good work , keep it up!

I dig it. Sure, it's a Banksy idea, but it's still well done. My only wish is that the collar on the far left were resolved a little better.

With more people making art than ever before in human history, people will undoubtedly come up with similar ideas. It has happened to me a few times.

Oh yeah, don't go to art school. The quality and value of art is relative, and depends on the artist's intent, which 80% of the time is interpreted and not known. I could rant all day about how Jackson Pollock was a drunken bastard that stumbled around, accidentally knocking buckets of paint onto some canvas while he was plastered. But it is still art, even though I think it's smurfy and lazy. If I paint something and I accomplish what I intended to do and am happy, then I could give a flying blue duck about what some stranger thinks about it.

I would enjoy seeing this on someone, but it's not something I'd like to wear. The Mona Lisa dots though? Nothin but love for that one! Pretty sure I asked for it last time it was in the side art and want it just as much now.

I dig the heaphones side art a lot. I think today's shirt would do much better in the UK than the US as well.

I love how imposing and threatening the giant camera people look. There's few things that are more frightening than broad shoulders.

I'm indifferent to the government and don't really care if they oppress anyone. I'd wear this just because it is visually stunning.

Big CEOS and corporations/gov( if you think about it, bought by lobbyists = corporations) watch and tower over smaller people/consumers and their bar-code legs seem as pillars of capitalism. (however their leg lines are horizontal not vertical)

So in China the government television channels are CCTV# (CCTV1, CCTV2...) and the people at the bottom of the shirt are Chinese characters that are kind of difficult to make out. I am having trouble translating it, but if I knew what is said I would tell you.
