this is pretty awesome for any st4r w4rs fans, and its very well done. but...correct me if im wrong (and i might be..seeing as how ive failed spanish like 4 times) but shouldn't it be LA BOBA? since boba ends in an a which is feminine in the espanol?

either way, this design isssss pretty freakin rad, and captain ribman, for the record, i FREAKING LOVE YOUR NAME.

Two of the finer things in life.

1. Lucha libre
and
2. Boba Fett

El Boba by Captain RibMan is one of the best
5tar War5 parodies (IMHO) I've ever seen.
Maybe it's the fact that I own several
different toys of the character Boba Fett
or maybe it's the fact that this is just
a great MashedPotato of 2 essentials in the jar
of p0p kulture vitamins.

Either way, this will be hanging in my
already overstuffed tshirt vault.

Quite quite awesome! Love the Mexican wrestling / Boba Fett MashedPotato! Also, I really like the distressed look of the design. It fits in very well. As a side note on the side art, the Clockwork Orange Smurf is incredibly, distrubingly cool, and I want.

Actually, there are several exceptions to that rule. For example, el papa is the Pope and el día is the day.

and its EL boba. he is a man. just like its EL barto (simpsons). one of those real life application things, i think. at least thats how it is in several other languages, even though i dont know spanish

I Love St4r W4rs, but I hate wrestling. ALMOST bought it but I think I'm going to pass. Limited funding lately and 50% of my interest isnt enough to make the sale. Great job on the artwork though and it is an original concept so I can't deny you credit for that! Just not my cup of tea. I love me some Boba Fett though haha

Question for the larger built ladies here. How are the men's shirts as far as fit goes? I can wear the ladies, but it would be nice to be a bit more roomy. But I'm nervous of buying the men's shirts because, well, the shape isn't generally very flattering to curves. Thoughts? And thanks in advance. :)

Boba Fett's no doubt my favorite SW character... buttt I'm not the biggest fan of the masked wrestling aspect, kinda turns me off. The costume does look very fitting for a Fett themed luchador though, lol.

i believe he is referring to the fact that you have become, as of late, the first person to comment on the site for a good while now.
i even tried to comment first one day and somehow i was still behind you even after refreshing madly to time it right.

Niku, the feminine article “la” would be wrong here because Boba is a masculine first name even though it ends on an “a.” If you were to say “La Boba” you’d be saying: “The female fool/idiot/loony/nincompoop/etc.” “El Boba” actually dilutes the actual meaning of Boba in Spanish which, article notwithstanding, means fool/idiot/etc. For example, in Spanish you would say: “El congresista Murtha” (Congressman Murtha) because even though his last name ends in “a” he was a male. Otherwise, if you say “La congresista Murtha” (Congresswoman Murtha) you’d be performing a sex-change operation on a deceased politician… Actually, now that I think about it, we should extort some more taxes from each other and change every politician’s gender and hope to hell that said change would allow them to have a bit of decency and common sense.

Oh, and the shirt is just “famabulosa” (fantástica/maravillosa/fabulosa). Get your dictionary out for that one…

As a mexican myself, i gotta say that you are right IF you use " BOBA " ( thats spanish for silly ) as a femenine adjective and not as a name... So since the wrestler is a HE and BOBA is used as a name, the line " EL BOBA " is correct.

If "boba" is masculine, it should be "el"
just because the word looks feminine, it may be masculine, and "el" should be paired with it

Well this wouldn't be the case. See, Boba is a name, and thus the rule of feminism/ or masculinity would not apply. It only works with pronouns. If your name was "Joshua" you wouldn't say "La Joshua" because Joshua is what/who you are; Now if the character on the shirt was a female you may then say "La Boba"... i hope i cleared things up.

And on topic: meow, not my cup of tee(tea get it? *_^) for a tee shirt.

I saw a guy at the bar today with a Stormtrooper Skull and crossbones design and told him about Teefury today, mentioning what was on here.
He about flipped. Went upstairs on his laptop and ordered it.

I just love that kinda stuff. Nice guy too.
Man, it's just been such a beautiful day. I wish I could afford to buy this for everyone that can't get it today. I know the feeling.

El Boba by Captain RibMan is one of the best

5tar War5 parodies (IMHO) I've ever seen.

Maybe it's the fact that I own several

different toys of the character Boba Fett

I'm not real big on pop culture tees (blasphemy, I know) & haven't owned (much less bought) a Dancin Stars shirt since I was a young pup around 1980, but this is just too big a combo of awesome for me to resist.

I too, still have my old Boba action figures, the crowning jewel of which is this mother.

He kicked much pretend ass back in the day, most of it against Bionic Bigfoot from The Six Million Dollar Man.

Though the battles were long & hard fought, Boba always managed to pull it out in the end. Natch.

Aight, enough reminiscing, I'm off to buy a shirt. And then maybe go find my old actions figures. Ah, Spock it, my toys.

Hmmm. Only way a shirt might work is if you snuck up from behind, covered my head & ran like hell. Hit me up with some chocolate covered bacon & The Hoff, though, & you've got yourself a deal ; )

I checked on ebay for ya & there's actually a few up right now. Cheapest buy it now is $100, which actually isn't too bad. If you're one of those suckers who needs a box, though, $750 is as low as it goes. Yowza. Kinda makes me wish I'd kept mine in the box. Naaaah. I got way more enjoyment out of it than that.

For all those who insist on calling "Boba Fett" a lady(La Boba) you have failed Spanish. Boba is the noun, his name, so the feminine rule does not apply to him, nothing does unless he says so. The Fett-man is an amazing bounty hunter from Kamino where they don't use masculine and feminine rules. They are way to busy making clones in Kamino.

Tell us about this design: El Boba. Years after escaping the Sarlacc pit, with his bounty hunter status in ruins, Boba Fett occasionally freelanced as a Mexican wrestler.

What's a day in the life of John like? Butter.

What do you do for a living? I am a designer, illustrator and toy designer. I enjoy so many artistic outlets because I get bored easily.

Do you own alot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite? I have a vintage Star Wars shirt that I have had since I was 7. It shows my nipples well — right in C3PO’s eyes.

What inspires you? Kittens, rainbows and lollipops. In particular, I really am inspired by rainbow-colored kittens on sticks.

How did you get your start in art? I have been drawing since I was in my mother’s womb. Her fallopian tubes are covered in graffiti.

What's your art process like, from initial sketch to finished product? Idea, sketch, sketch, ink, erase, scan, mess with, design, color, design, email.

What would the you of now, tell the you of 10 years ago? Buy Google stock.
