honestly took me a second, and via the help of mel, to get it at first. great concept and design, and very well executed, but would pop alot better on a black tee.
I wish they printed the artist's name/signature and name of the design somewhere on the shirt. Like maybe the tag or inside the back.
That would tempt me to cave into TeeFury more. Caved in a total of 10 times.

i agree that it would look better on black... i agree that you only got it cause i helped :P
Lets see I think this is #9 on my shirts for hoping to get in the next grab bag. It socks being without cash when these things come out the first time...it really does.
Teefury....Guys colors should be MANLY!!! Not powder blues or yellows... So many cool shirts on here fall through the cracks and do not end up in my closet because of the shirt color!!!!

Who says it isn't a "manly" color. Just cause it ain't all dark and stuff doesn't make it any less attractive on a guy. Broaden your horizons a little cause there are so many good choices that guys don't realize. I bet you would find that out if you dared a little more.
i would really appreciate it if you people could chill out with the powder blue. at least for the guy's tees. its too light of a blue. turqoise or something would be much more badasser. kind of like the blue brainburger shirt would be nice. speaking of which, the brainburger shirt is awesome. is it for sale somewhere? if not, PRINT IT! please
really like this shirt, but not the shirt color, even though i hate to be one of those "if only it were another color" people
I've wanted this shirt since it was side art but I feel like the placement on the girl's tee is a little too far up... I am not a huge fan of designs right by my armpits. I'll have to sleep on it!

For reals. A real man can pull it off. I can. My woman loves it when I wear things like that. KHAAAAAAAN.

If I can wear a color and go into any women's clothing section of a store and blend in, then it's not a good fit. I've tried other colors and I stick to white, red, black, and gray. I've worn just about every color shirt that you could find in Crayola's aresenal and I simplified my wardrobe to the main colors. Heck, I only have 1 blue shirt in my closet. Men dress to be comfortable and be 1 of the guys, not to stand out and draw attention to themselves.

Take a scrawny nerd and put them in a black or whatever color looks "manly" and tell me they look anymore manly than before.
Personally I don't mind the powder blue color, I actually like it. However a lot of the shirts I end up buying from teefury have ended up being a light blue and frankly my closet needs a little variety! Maybe some browns, greens or other earthy tones guys!
Anyway great shirt! Volkswagen Rabbit would've been pretty cool as well.

A real hunky actor.....like Michael Cera??? All I was saying is there should be more of a difference in color between the men's and women's. And according to your husband's general idea, if he wore a care bears t-shirt, he would look manly????
Powder blue is blah. Which socks, because all of the awesome Mario shirts are always in light blue. Doesn't the world know that the internet loves black?

Color dude, we are talking about color...not logos or anything else on the the shirt just strictly color.
Powder Blue, Baby Blue any way you try to Bedazzle it you're still slinging a Polished Turd....The Color Not The Art.
The concept on the other hand is witty and well executed. Now if the Executioner will please turn his attention to the giant stack of blank light blue t-shirts...
I don't see the big deal with the powder blue. Maybe TeeFury could start printing a bunch of pink shirts and give you guys something to really complain about. I hope they don't though. That would be lame.
Wow. All of this bitching about the color is ridiculous. Not everything looks good on black. Some things, like Mario prints, should be on colors that have something to do with the subject matter. Powder blue = the color of the sky in those games. With the awesome alligator yesterday--muddy green was the most reasonable color choice.
This design... Nicely done for the most part, but the Mustang just looks creepy. I think the problem is that there isn't any area to be its head. So, the "head" part is pushed back to the middle and it ends up looking like a boar.
I like the shirt, i even like the color of the shirt, but I dont care for the striped coloring over the car pic...but overall cool shirt. I would have never gotten the 1st one though unless someone told me haha. i am unworthy and do not know my cars.
Dude I've been waiting for this to be on a shirt for a while! Don't really dig on the color though (still buying it). Teefury loves baby blue shirts man!
It makes me sad that many of you guys have never heard of the plymouth barracuda, there's even a song about it! Oooooooooh barracuda!
While I don't aspire to, or own a 'Cuda- I find the lack of such details worthy enough of a NO PAYMENT. It's BS to assume that these classics will be learned outside the perscribed curruculm.
This is a really cool shirt. I definitely am thinking about getting this one. All the work in the portfolio is way cool too. Some of the most creative stuff I have seen in awhile. Props.
It's not that I really love black... I'm sick of black, navy and asphalt. It's just that powder blue in particular looks awful.
I'd love this in Cream, Cranberry, Mint, all kinds of light vibrant colors. I'd even take that pink someone suggested over the powdered blue.
But I have to admit, I'm directing friends to teefury today. I love this design and I want it to sell well. :]
I like this (as in I think it's great, I just don't like cars) BUT this is the artist that made the amazing bear shirt I wanted to badly. Make the bear shirt!! Bear shirt!!
Hell to the yeah. I'm all over this shirt. I enjoy all of these vehicles. Allow me to geek out for a moment:
Plymouth Barracuda ('Cuda): Production began in 1964 with a fastback design based on the Valiant (see my personal car in the icon). In 1970, it moved from the Mopar A-body platform to the all new E-body platform seen here. The name was also shortened from "Barracuda" to "'Cuda." It would continue in this design until 1974. Famous 'Cuda: The Yellow 1971 Hemi convertible driven by Don Johnson in Nash Bridges.
Dodge Ram: Dodge's full size trucks took on the Ram name in 1981, and in 2009, the "Dodge" was dropped in favor of creating Ram as its own brand. This design appears to be based on the 1994-2001 design. Famous Rams: Bill Paxton drove one through a house in Twister. Chuck Norris dispensed justice from one in Walker Texas Ranger.
VW Beetle: Although iconic and relatively unchanged in basic design for the better part of 70 years (if you include South American production), this stylized beetle appears to be based on a 1964-1966 model. (I had learned to drive in a '65.) Famous Beetle: Herbie The Love Bug, driven most memorably by Dean Jones, but Bruce Campbell also shared a brief moment of Herbie glory in 1997.
Dodge Viper: A supercar as punishing on its driver as it is on the competition, and most Viper owners wouldn't have it any other way. This appears to be based on the 1996-2002 incarnation of the beast. Famous Viper: James McCaffry drove an "assault vehicle" disguised as a Viper in the NBC (later syndicated) show Viper.
Ford Mustang: 1964.5 - 1973 and 1979-Present with a brief interlude by the malaise-tastic Mustang II. Love it or hate it, an icon of the pony car and muscle car eras. This incarnation is based on a 1968 fastback model. Famous '68 Mustang: Steve McQueen tore through the streets of San Francisco in a dark green one. (My mom drove a silver '68 convertible.)
As for the color not being manly: If light blue was good enough for Steve McQueen and Richard Petty, it's good enough for me. I'm buying this shirt and I recommend you do the same.
bhull111 said: Teefury....Guys colors should be MANLY!!! Not powder blues or yellows... So many cool shirts on here fall through the cracks and do not end up in my closet because of the shirt color!!!!
Speaking of closets...Uh. Maybe if you felt a bit more confident in your manhood you wouldn't worry about such stereotypical nonsense.
Awesome shirt... but what kills me is that people don't read the comments? How can so many people ask what the first is instead of looking at what people asked previously? Quit being lazy people.
bhull111 said: Men dress to be comfortable and be 1 of the guys, not to stand out and draw attention to themselves.
Yer hilarious.
Yes. That's how all men should dress, to make sure people don't mistake them for something they're not.
Most guys I know that have such an issue "being a man" have more than tshirts in their closet.
You can let people know in the forums. Works better than way than saying the same thing over and over on the front page.
I do agree tho, it will be nice once they start to carry kids sizes and 3X sizes.
I've been waiting AGES for a good automotive t-shirt to buy and this is a really good and clever shirt. Everyone at car shows would LOVE it. Which is why I'm super sad that I can't purchase it because of one fatal flaw/gripe - the "Dodge Viper" looks nothing like a Dodge Viper.
I mean it's not that there is just a tiny error, it's that it lacks any feature that would make it recognizable as a Viper. A real Viper has a clam shell hood. And what's with the chrome bumpers? They're also shaped completely wrong. And the wheels are just copied from the Ram above - that's just lazy.
All of the other cars/animals are very easy for any auto enthusiast to get, but I would have to explain the "Dodge Viper" to everyone. Too bad, it really is a sharp shirt - and I'm one of the few guys apparently that likes the light blue.
I love me some classic cars, and since most of the shirts in my closet are black or gray (with the exception of some pink), I will be buying this Because it is Powder Blue!
P.S. I am totally with FuzzyLogic on the fact if you are so worried about how manly you look in a specific color shirt, you should re-evaluate your manliness. Real Guys can pull off any color.
I love when a guy can wear colors other than the standard, White, Gray, or Black.
:)

I have been around cars my whole life, since I live in Detroit, and My dad Worked for Ford, and I recognized the Viper right off the bat.... Maybe its just me, But I dont think it looks that off.
FuzzyLogic said: it's modeled after the '67 Dodge Viper. ;-)
Ah, it does look more like THAT car. Still, it's a very poor choice of vehicle and would have to be explained to everyone. Why not use the 1992+ Dodge Viper that everyone knows, instead of some obscure concept vehicle that no one cares about and that never saw the light of day?
FuzzyLogic said: it's modeled after the '67 Dodge Viper. ;-)
Holy Voyager, it is! That's why I was having such a hard time with it at first. I just assumed 1996-2002 because of the roof. That makes more sense...although sadly the '67 Viper didn't exist even in concept form until last year.
HERE is a link to the Jalopnik article about this awesome concept by Rafael Reston.
(Even though that car doesn't exist, I still bought two shirts. My brother will love it.)
Maybe its just me, But I dont think it looks that off.
I didn't hesitate for a second either. While the "'67" concept's influence is very obvious, it's still clearly a Viper, even as the most stylized of the five. Although I take what I said back about the 96-02 model. Only post 02 Vipers had hoods that opened that way.
I don't see anything similar, really. The car in the shirt looks more like a 63-67 Corvette to me than anything. I think a little more research to get the proper Viper to model for the shirt and this would've been a killer design.
Real men can wear whatever the f:^O colors they want. I like the variety and I like the powder blue. You don't always want to look like you're going to a metal concert.
Oh man, when I saw that as side art I geeked out and made it my desktop pic for a long time. This is a for sure buy and the fact that its on light blue is all the more amazing. Light blue rocks! I'm just debating on how many I want to buy haha.
And light blue looks so sexy on men its not even funny. My fiance loves like blue and he has no problem wearing any light colors. Woo! for manly men who wear pastel colors!!
Congrats on the print, Lefcourt. Your work is amazing. Keep it up!
teefury if you let us pick the color you would have me 90% more of the time.
maybe add an option where its 3$ more for a select color and i bet others would jump in on the deal, yea i know that takes away from the artist layout but since they get 1$ i bet they would like the extra cash since many more would buy a T
Does anyone else have an issue with their powder blue shirts and bleached pits? lol :)
The only powder blue fury tee I have is Hothmas and fer some reason the pits would bleach when I wore it. It washes out so I assume it's some kind of chemical reaction with my deodorant and/or sweat (hey I'm no chemist). But regardless my pits turn white at some point when I wear it which is not cool. None of my other fury tees do this.
Anyone else experience this ever? Or do I have freaky alien acid emitting pits? :O
Are we now (or is there a chance you can make it so) able to see upcoming designs? $9 + $2 for s/h is a great price (thanks for that), but some us on a limited income might postpone a purchase today if we saw an upcoming one was much more preferred. Regardless ur answer, thanks for the consideration.
skylyre it's probably the deodorant or antiperspirant you are using. You could try wearing a smaller white tee under it maybe, I don't now. Oh yeah, cool design. Loved it back when it was just lowly side art.
TimGRmich I understand what you're asking but the whole point of the "daily shirt" thing is the surprise, suspense, anticipation and sales. They want us to blow our money on shirts lol. If we knew that tomorrow there was going to be the Darth Vader shirt to end all Darth Vader shirts we may not buy this one for example.

Yeah I'm quite sure that's the problem (hence the washes out part). Thanks for your suggestion too, although I despise undershirts, particularly in warm weather. I just wonder if that's happened to anyone else before because it's pretty strange.
I'll have to try rocking it again with some different DO and see if they all do it... (I haven't worn it since xmas time)

Agreed. I used to have this problem when I used a white deodorant, then I switched to one of the clearish gels and have been fine ever since.

Very, very, clever design. Well illustrated, and overall a strong piece of work. I would totally wear it on a darker color - I'm a sloppy eater, and a bigger guy, so light colors just don't work well with my lifestyle (yes, I'm trying to lose weight, but still...)
Would buy the Space In Vader shirt in a heartbeat, though. :)
you guys are taking it way to literal and overthinking it. your criticizism just makes you looks like a jackass. just accept that its a viper and dig the sick design. jesus
The point I was trying to get across is that this light blue color is used more than any other color it seems like. That's all I was saying. I agree with seeuonthe502 who said there should be an option added that let's us choose our own color shirt. That would fix our little problem we got going on here and prevent any discussions like this in the future. I was just making a suggestion and everyone acts like I'm not comfortable with my manhood...I made a suggestion that it seems like many other people have made as well. Come on teefury, make this suggestion happen and if your sales don't go up, take the option away!!

That's Prattastic! You gotta love commenting on Teefury as soon as you get home from the bar.
I have no idea what the hell I was trying to convey. Soberized- I like the concept, but I think it may have been flushed out better- oh and I don't care for the paint swipes.
I did says seems like, not without a shadow of a doubt. Maybe I just notice it more because I'm not a real fan of that color. But it's funny, that whole thing I just wrote and you pick out the one part just to start an argument or make your point to try to make me feel stupid or something?!?! The color choice is obviously not everyone's favorite because I'm not the only one who said something. Read the posts and see how many people said something negative about the color. I already agreed with someone's suggestion on how to fix it, so why do people need to keep saying stuff. Hopefully this site takes the suggestion to heart.
The shirt color will always be a topic as long as we sell shirts. It's the same general topic at all other t-shirt sites.
By posting the colors of the past 27 days, I just wanted to prove that we are cognitive of the colors we choose. We try to please a variety of fans. We will never please all of them at the same time.
Just joined tonight and love the set up. But from what i have read, powder blue is the colour of most shirts.
The day I wear a powder blue shirt is the day I will be climbing out of my closet, so please don't push the issue any sooner than necessary :-))

Is the choose you own shirt color not a possibility then? I never thought of that before seeuonthe502 mentioned it. It is just a suggestion and it will definitely boost sales. I understand it would be a pain in the you know where to offer the designs on every single color shirt that has ever been sold on here, but what if you just offer like 3 or 4....
BmorThug said: The Viper looks too much like a Corvette stingray to me.
if it weren't for the other cars (and truck) being so dead-on, i'd wager that it actually WAS a 'vette that was used as a template. looks faaar more like a stingray than a viper, to me.
This design really hooked me in. Bought for my husband, let's hope he's man enough to pull it off.... That whole debate made me laugh!
Cool designs, I got the camper van with daddy long legs in my grab bag which is my favourite t-shirt right now, they will sort of match, awww! New to the fury and already addicted. Works out at £12 a shirt which is good considering the quality and funky uniqueness.
Having read a few threads, I also like the vibe I'm getting from the curators. Keep it up Tee Fury!!

While it would be nice to provide different colors, we use actual screen print. It would significantly increase overall production costs. If we were using DTG, it might be beneficial, but currently it would not be fiscally beneficial to offer more than one option.
Besides, in a complex world of endless options, having one shirt, one day, one color, I feel is integral to the Teefury business model idea. Easy. Yes or No. I would wish that all things in life were just as simple.

Word! Go Buckeyes! ;)
Sorry, Jimiyo. The Volunteers beat the Buckeyes.
GO UK Wildcats tomorrow!
I actually don't know anything about sports going ons. I just know Ohio is Buckeyes because for several months at an old job I was made to create Ohio Buckeyes logo keychains, shirts, keychains, more keychains, cell phone trinkets, metals and more keychains. ;)
Really wish I could buy this, but it even looks bad on the models. I reeeally wish it was in a different color... and that it had an impala. Other than that this shirt is badass and was very tempting.
On a side note, I happeneed to run into a viper today. It was pretty sexy in cobalt blue, too bad the creepy old man driving it wasn't.
Artist Ste7en Lefcourt knocks another one out with a design that's more than meets the eye...
What inspired you to make this piece?
I have an older brother who was always into cars. He had a lot of the classics over the years and even restored a few himself. I was never much into cars but I wanted to do a tee design he might appreciate, and then I came up with this idea.
What's your favorite subject to draw?
Not so much a subject, but I love taking lots of smaller objects to create bigger or hidden imagery. Collage style illustrations.
Did you study art formally?
No. I was never able to because of a condition with my drawing hand /wrist. I was accepted to the art school where I wanted to go, but found out a week after my interview there that my condition would be severely worsened by the 3 year intensive course I was supposed to go for.
What's your drawing process like?
I draw like a sculptor sculpts. I create an entire image and keep refining it until it looks like I pictured in my head. A lot of people will work on a small piece at a time, draw a very intricate head, then add another piece, but I take an entire block of imagery and work on everything in levels as I move from less to more detailed.
What's the weather like in the Northeast these days?
Global warming has really improved it this winter. I am really appreciative of that because I despise the cold. Thanks China.

From the words of my husband after reading this comment:
"Its not the color that makes a shirt manly or not...its the man wearing it instead. Take any of the really hunky actors and put them in a powder blue shirt and tell me they don't look manly. Take a scrawny nerd and put them in a black or whatever color looks "manly" and tell me they look anymore manly than before.

LuffyMugensaid 97 weeks ago
P.S. I am totally with FuzzyLogic on the fact if you are so worried about how manly you look in a specific color shirt, you should re-evaluate your manliness. Real Guys can pull off any color.
I love when a guy can wear colors other than the standard, White, Gray, or Black.
:)

Ah, it does look more like THAT car. Still, it's a very poor choice of vehicle and would have to be explained to everyone. Why not use the 1992+ Dodge Viper that everyone knows, instead of some obscure concept vehicle that no one cares about and that never saw the light of day?
armyofchucknesssaid 97 weeks ago
Holy Voyager, it is! That's why I was having such a hard time with it at first. I just assumed 1996-2002 because of the roof. That makes more sense...although sadly the '67 Viper didn't exist even in concept form until last year.
HERE is a link to the Jalopnik article about this awesome concept by Rafael Reston.
(Even though that car doesn't exist, I still bought two shirts. My brother will love it.)
armyofchucknesssaid 97 weeks ago
I didn't hesitate for a second either. While the "'67" concept's influence is very obvious, it's still clearly a Viper, even as the most stylized of the five. Although I take what I said back about the 96-02 model. Only post 02 Vipers had hoods that opened that way.

Having read a few threads, I also like the vibe I'm getting from the curators. Keep it up Tee Fury!!
jimiyosaid 97 weeks ago
While it would be nice to provide different colors, we use actual screen print. It would significantly increase overall production costs. If we were using DTG, it might be beneficial, but currently it would not be fiscally beneficial to offer more than one option.
Besides, in a complex world of endless options, having one shirt, one day, one color, I feel is integral to the Teefury business model idea. Easy. Yes or No. I would wish that all things in life were just as simple.
