Its on ~~baby~~powder blue because if you look at most mario artwork, the backrgound matches the sky color in most of the games.

had i not just dropped close to $90 on BPal perfumes, i would snatch this shirt up in a heart beat. I also enjoy the way the nigiri balance it out instead of having 4 random sushi options.

This tee made me smile in that "awww...memories...and now i'm really hungry" type of way.

I would think with the red of the cheeps and Bertha they couldn't print on a red shade of shirt to avoid them blending in, green mario likewise. On a basic colour wheel that leaves yellow, orange, purple, and blue.

I'm not a designer but I assume most of us don't want it on yellow or orange, purple would probably clash badly too, so blue it is. Maybe a darker blue to appease the masses but I am perfectly fine with it.

The little blobs of highlights make me happy and it's a pleasing design :)

What the crudvapors is everyone's problem with powder blue? Are you seriously so wrapped up in your "cool" images that only black and other dark-colored shirts make your cut?

For myself, I think the design looks awesome on the powder blue, because it DOES match the sky in most of the games. I also love Mario, and hate sushi with the vengeance of a thousand fiery suns, so I'll have to sleep on it.

I cannot BELIEVE how many comments there are today. Awesome! Lovin' the cute retro-with-a-twist design, and actually I'm glad the designer and the curator stuck with baby blue despite it inevitably putting some people off. It definitely makes the colours of the sushi pop! Anyway, Spring is here, we should get with the light colours. Definitely buying this shirt... so fingers crossed shipping to the UK hasn't come totally unstuck.

Hi Rykan- That error typically means that your Paypal transaction has timed out. You can get around the problem by using a different web browser. If that still doesn't work, please contact service@teefury.com

Tell us about this design: I like a bit of nostalgia when it comes to tshirt design. Something that triggers a memory, or makes you smile. With this design I wanted to combine something I love now, with something I loved way back. Sushi and Super Mario Brothers. What with a heavy "seafood theme" in all 3 games, there was so many ingredients to choose from! Here we have: Blooper Nigiri, Baby Cheeps Ship, Big Bertha Sashimi & Frog Suit Mario Nigiri - delicious!

Tell us about yourself: I live in Australia, I do most of my work in Illustrator and I'm just about ready to make a cup of tea.

What's a day in the life of thickblackoutline like? Typically it involves a day job for a Japanese company in Australia, and then from the home office I freelance. To procrastinate, I bake.

What do you want Teefury fans to know? It's always important to take some time out, and be creative for yourself.... and there's always time for cupcakes.

Do you own a lot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite? I own a few tees, but my favourite of all time was from when I was 6, I had a pink Dick Dasterdly tee.

What inspires you? I'm constantly inspired by asian art, and other cultures from around the world.

What do you do for a living? I'm a graphic designer by day, and graphic designer by night

How did you get your start in art? Professionally, I moved interstate and made a career change. Personally. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember!

If you could own an exotic animal as a pet, what kind would you have, and what would you name it? It'd be a Lion named Leyroy
