1. The Windshield? Or is a shadow?
2. I get that it's supposed to be tilted slightly. The cactus on the right hand side really stands out for me.

Seriously if the windscreen thing is an issue to you, you really shouldn't buy the shirt.

I look at it knowing he is in front of it and even then it still takes nothing away from the image at all.

I love all the different texture work going on in this one and the side art too, i especially like the leopard (it is a leopard yeah?) . Nice work.

Yeah, I'm all for Hunter S. Thompson but it wasn't something I was digging. After looking at the windshield issue I am pretty sure your assumption is correct and we are looking at a collage here.

Every once and a while I know the second I see the TeeFury page that the tee will be mine. This is one of those times. Great job, Tiffany. And I really enjoyed looking at your webpage. Wonderful designs.

I was pretty psyched at first and then got hung up on that. I'm guessing that's reflecting the limitations of using stock art and/or cut and paste, or is that entire piece actually drawn from scratch (seems off in other ways) and intentional?

What?!? What time zone are you in, dude? My time zone + TeeFury = updates at midnight where I am. It's Tuesday right now and this shirt will clearly be sold all day. Maybe it was Monday for you still when the update happened, but this is definitely a Tuesday shirt.

You need to learn how to wash clothes properly. My Polar Beer shirt looks like new still, and I wear it at least once every week or two. Wash inside out in cold water. Hang-dry the first few (5-7) washings until it's broken in a bit before starting to dry in a dryer. NEVER dry a cotton shirt on high heat, always use medium or low.

On the one hand, I am glad Looooost got Looooost. I watched enough of it to realize I couldn't stand it, and did not get or enjoy any of the shirts I saw. I like the artwork here, but again, I don't get the reference, having never seen the movie. I like it for the artwork alone though. I could see myself wearing this one on stage. :)

@jimiyo- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a BOOK! Yes, it is also a movie, but foremost it is a book. And while I do like the illustration it is not exactly an interpretation of the movie (or the book) as it is a pretty big rip off of Ralph Steadman's art for the book. Originality please.

Im not "b*tching" that there is no Looooost shirt we are all just surprised because the past few weeks every tuesday has been a Looooost shirt and every week we are very thankful for it.

IMO, the windshield isn't an issue for me. It adds to the overall "driving way too fast and doing way too many drugs" vibe of the book/movie/man/and (now) shirt. It's wonderfully distorted and gives a aomewhat 3d effect (like back in the old days of the blue/red glasses where sometimes one thing would pop out that just looked off). Also, if the proportions were kept the same, but he was inside the car, you really wouldn't be able to tell what was going on without getting thisclose to it.

So, i understand technicalities, but only when a technical design is represented. To me, this shirt does a wonderful job of showing the "feel" of the work that inspired it.

i'm a pretty huge HST fan, and i love fear and loathing, and i was ready to buy this shirt until i noticed the windshield.
great design otherwise, but the windshield thing really bothers me.
hoping the next HST tee is more to my liking.

Listen. I can certainly appreciate your art. However, I can't get behind you saying that you intentionally put the HST character over the windshield. It was a mistake, and that's ok. But trying to play it off as if it was intentional bothers me more than the mistake itself.

I feel the Steadman-y goodness when I look at the design, and it is a great representation of the story's vibe. It has an eerie glow about it too :)

I am still debating on buying though, only b/c I just bought a couple shirts and moolah is MIA.

im actually glad that it isn't a los.t shirt cause i know alot of people watch Looooost but not enough to actually have a los.t tuesday theme. and plus if that happens it would make us non los.t people not want the grab bags cause there would be an extreamly high chance of getting a los.t shirt. so nuff said, i believe i already said good job on the shirt and stuff earlier so i should be good.

I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt here, but it is incredibly rude to claim someone is lying unless you have proof.

The fact of the matter is, if it were a mistake we'd be able to fix it before printing. There is literally no reason for the artist to lie, and I'm not sure why you're so convinced that's what is happening.

The rose and skull side art are sick, i'd definitely buy those.

And I can't see an artistic reason for doing it that way. "Because it adds to the drug/acid feel doesn't make sense to me.

What?!? What time zone are you in, dude? My time zone + TeeFury = updates at midnight where I am. It's Tuesday right now and this shirt will clearly be sold all day. Maybe it was Monday for you still when the update happened, but this is definitely a Tuesday shirt.

Oh, ok. I guess I never noticed how things are "supposed" to work. I'm in Arizona, so as long as I have been on the site, new shirts have been appearing at 10:00 P.M. so I never made the connection with East Coast servers. Now that Daylight Savings changed and we here in Arizona never change our clocks, the new shirts show up at 9:00 P.M., and the Daily Show starts at 11:00 P.M. instead of 12:00 A.M.

Mystery solved.

im usually on the east coast, and its VERY NICE to get a new shirt at midnight, but right now im in germany, so i gotta stay up till 5 am to see the new shirt! id hate to live here just for that reason alone.

Wow. Getting featured on Looooost sites has apparently paid off really well for Teefury. Just the number of comments is amazing. Over the past couple of weeks the number has jumped a lot. (There were soo many at about nine this morning--ridiculous.)

Still. This design is great, and I am personally very happy that it isn't a Looooost tee. Wasn't happy with the formulaic trend that was starting to form. I do feel that this is changing the community though. I suppose it's to be expected, what with the expanding audience, but I miss the general feel of the site from a while back. I started coming here because of the amazing designs I found that were super cheap. Now, I feel like we're getting a lot of cheap designs. Pop culture might sell, and simple illustrations of recent phenomena or internet geeky things might be super popular, but it really does seem to lessen the awesomeness of the site. (None of this is directed at today's design--I have no problem with geeky things or pop culture when done well.)

tl;dr...More like this. If you want pop references, can we at least get nicely done ones?

when i first glanced at this i thought it might be death proof. but i was just as excited when i saw my favorite doctor of journalism. bought!

haha jeez, i pointed out a flaw and everyone starts talking about it, ive watched the movie. just i think the design wouldve looked better with like him without the windshield, or, like his body broken through it. idk im a perfectionist with my art. but i think this shirt is badass.

This is a cool shirt, but I've never read the book or seen the movie. I love the rose/mask side art. If you print that one I would totally buy it!

The most random thing happened about 5 minutes ago. I went into the garage to do some laundry and from my uncle's computer I hear the opening lines from Fear and Loathing (he had it really quiet, so I don't even know how I heard it). I asked him if I heard right, and he confirmed that I did and that it was his favorite movie. I showed him the shirt, he flipped out about how insanely awesome it was, and I purchased it.

20 minutes to spare! Thank goodness I remembered to do my laundry tonight.
