    Oh sweet.

    I love this tee, it has that 50s revival feel and at the same time an urban grunge. Def. worth buying if I can find $10.

    I like.

    The women's shirt looks a little "happier" than the men's. Which, I suppose, is a bad thing. I think it would be better for TF to pick one great color and use that for both.

    The gray-er blue on the men's looks better to me; it provokes more thought than the "happy" robins egg blue the girls get.

    I like the idea a lot, but the legs and arms look like he got tired of drawing all of the blocks cause they get a little sloppy looking. But definitely like the side art. Great artist, but this t is not for me. :(

    A lot of artists use photography as a collage element in their designs. I even did one recently myself. Why would that be a problem?

    MJ, for anyone familiar with NYC, it's pretty obviously taken from an old picture of Rockefeller Center. (Otto might've nailed it with that Shorpy image, given that the construction in the foreground appears to be the same.)

    That being said, that specific image may be in the public domain by now (though if the original photographer/kin took the proper steps, it wouldn't become PD til 2028, if my math is right). I'm not taking a stance one way or another, this is, in my opinion, one of those artistic license grey areas - but it would've been nice to have the artist at least acknowledge the building he's using. I like my kaiju demolition to be geographically accurate!

    I think had the building/person/thing been realistic instead of cartoonish I personally would have liked it better. Just my opinion.

    The contrast between the realistic building and the cartoonish monster is a bit too jarring. I agree that it would have had more impact if the monster was realistic or if the building was in the same cartoon style.

    A) I really like this shirt but two in two days? Not sure I can do it.

    B) I think the question being asked is valid, albeit perhaps in an inappropriate way (or one that was interpreted as such, etc). I personally find it respectable that so many people on these forums are so concerned about other artists' rights.

    I don't think there is anything wrong the question itself and I also think it should be asked, again, to protect the rights of others. To be sure, Teefury has made mistakes in the past since it is run by people who are not machines and can't catch everything.

    If the picture is free-use or whatever it's called, great. If it's the artist's own picture, great. If it's neither, then there is a problem.

    On a side note related to the shirt though, I like this week's picks so far. Two for two.

    final point, I like to know what I'm buying and how much works been put into what I'm buying, if I buy a burger I might want to know how many calories are in it, same deal, did not mean to offend or accuse, but seeing as none of the my questions were being answered or addressed I got a bit testy, my bad.

    There is nothing wrong with wondering. But here's the thing: anytime we put art up on this page, there is a slim possibility that the artist has pulled a fast one and sent us artwork they don't have the rights to. That's not exclusively true of photography or collage.

    In the interest of not damaging the reputations of our artists unfairly, we ask that no one post an accusation unless they have some kind of proof. Otherwise, we end up dealing with this every time someone sees an artist they dislike or wish to discredit. I don't think the original poster intended to insult the reputation of the artist, but honestly that's how it reads. People are innocent until proven guilty. If you care enough to post your concern, email service@teefury.com with your question or spend that time finding the answer yourself.

    Respecting artists means not assuming the worst.

I don't know what Teefury plans with the artist or what Teefury's rules are for linking to other T sites, so I'll just say that google is your friend. (also, you can vote for Cosmic Abe at teextile. kinda just did what I said I wasn't going to do)
