A word from the curator:
Watch out, humans- endangered animals are fighting back, and taking their habitats by force i
Tell us the background of this design.
Came naturaly, I really do love bears and pandas and I’m always thinking about them. On the first time I was thinking to do a design on the spots became a sunglasses but it didn't work. So, I was thinking about the spots and like I said, the idea just came to me.
Which art style would you most like to learn?
I think watercolors. I love it but I can see, I really need to learn more about it.
If you had a time machine, which era would you visit first?
Hmm, that's hard...Probably prehistoric time, I'm little bit curious to know how the whole world was before us. I'd love to know what is going to happen on the future...Like 3000. Wow, we really can think about it, hã? :D
What goal do you most aspire towards?
Have solid skills and living from what I do, illustration. The first one, just time can give to me, learning and trying to improve...But the second one, that's hard, it's hard live as a illustrator here in Brazil. But I'll never give up, I can’t give up.
If you could stop any t-shirt trend in its tracks, which would you end? What trend would you like to see started?
I don't like to stop any trend...Because that's evolution. If someting doesn't fit now, it will evoluate to something better tomorrow...Everything is changing, even better or worse trends. I'd like to see where the things going.
I'd love to start watercolors and negative space stuffs. I love then, actually I'm doing lot's of arts with thouse tecnics (Bio Piracy I used watercolors :D)
Do you prefer pancakes, waffles or toast?
Pancakes! I love then!
Chocolate vs. Caramel: which would win the battle?
I don't know, both of them have their strong from milk. That's hard. But i bet on chocolate!
Describe the first shirt you ever designed.
Gosh! It was called "Banana Drops" LOL and I did it when the lights came out on my last job. It was a kind of man running to a flying octopus - don't ask! :D
What has been your most inspiring art experience?
It really depends...But i love to see t-shirt on the running because sometime something great appear and that's inspiration to me. See new people with talent winning awards like threadless make me inspired too because it 'recharge' my battery.
Any shout outs?
