This is funny today, but think about 6 months from now. And thing about a few years from now. It's like owning a William Hung shirt. When was the last time you walked up to your friends and started singing "SHE BANG! SHE BANG!" and got a laugh out of it? You might have a few years ago, but not anymore.

This shirt has short time funny, but not long time. That would be my reason for not getting it.
  • stablercakesaid 105 weeks ago

Buying this shirt would be perpetuating the stereotype that American Idol is a good show.

Also, is this going to donate any money anywhere or is this just going to TeeFury's ability to stay afloat? Either way it's a good cause, just wondering. o 3o

Wow, I... I just don't even know what to say to that video...

It's almost like, instead of my foot being in my mouth, my pants are, how should I say?... on the ground?

I think the $1/shirt that usually goes to the artist definitely needs to go to Mr. General Larry Platt.

The thing I got from the Pants on the Ground song. The General marched with Dr. Martin Luther King to help gain freedoms. When he looks around today, he sees young men baggin' with their hats sideways and gold teeth, it seems like he wonders if younger ones appreciate what he and his generation did.
  • Hallucinogenicsaid 105 weeks ago

D'oh! I can't see a flash-in-the-pan thing like an early round Idol freak phenom being justification for buying a t-shirt even at this price. Although, if you took a few bags full around to some old school barber shops, I'd say there would be a really good chance of unloading them. Even buying at this price one might still make some decent cash.
  • noedalmxysaid 105 weeks ago

I used to think Teefury was a place where artists could sell their work, obviously I was wrong. This is another terrible example of what Tee fury has been on a steady decline towards.

exploding bacteria shirts are fine, as long as they last more than a month. Back to the Future works. Something that will have been forgotten within the next month or two doesn't. The people who buy this won't know what to do with it next year...or their "I'm with CoCo" shirts. :-D

Perhaps you could hand this kind of exploding 'bacteria' idea out as a free iron-on transfer with orders.

I love the idea of Tee Fury, but this kind of design is the sort of thing you find at the local cheapo store or on the local tramp.

This reminds me of a Georges Braque quote, which kinda links Tee Fury's idea with this one....

The design is poor, and the explanation of doing it to explore dumbass phenomenon, just gets translated in my head as 'explore cash-in opportunities.'.

True. We swapped the King Pong to Monday. Mondays are good traffic days so it will get more exposure than if it was today. We wanted to try out this design before the phenomenon died down. No biggie.

Since you are asking though, you better buy that King Pong! ;)
  • Reverend Hellgoodsaid 105 weeks ago

By the time the shirt is printed, shipped, and finally arrives, the joke won't be relevant anymore. I'll pass.

It's not so much that only positive comments are allowed, but comments like that don't really say anything useful or relevant, no offence. By that I mean, what does your comment say that is useful to Teefury or the artist? Mediocre doesn't answer any questions as to why you dislike it. It's un-constructive.

And comments like "It'll be irrelevant in a few weeks..." aren't any better. If you don't like the shirt, don't buy it. If you like it...buy it. Sooner or later everything becomes irrelevant, but posting a well known fact doesn't help.

Plus, didn't your parents ever tell you, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."?

I really don't mean to offend you, or the other posters, and I'm truly sorry if I did. I just hope this post will make at least one person stop and think before they post something as irrelevant as the point they're trying to convey.
