This design is a pretty good reminder of why I won't play horror-themed games. Seeing a Koopa hiding in every shadow is bad enough!
Tell us the background of this design.
We were thinking of making a design based on comics/cartoons where someone goes through the woods and feels there's some danger around him and the first thing he sees of his enemy are the glowing eyes in the wood. We were playing a lot of Mario Galaxy at this time so those two ideas kind of merged into each other.
How did you get started designing t-shirts?
We’ve been illustrating all our lives but we both only got into designing shirts and trying to win some contest around May last year. (if you dont count some threadless submissions a few years ago!) We then found out about shirtfight and teefury and all those other sites and tried to participate regularly. We haven’t won any big contest so far, maybe you could help us doing so by voting for us everywhere you see us ;)

What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
Draw/design as much as you can and do what you like!
What would be your dream job?
Getting payed properly for what we're doing already. (So one could maybe afford a loft in NYC and a holiday-home in iceland...)
What are your feelings about sneakers?
We love them! We even judge the people we meet for the first time after the sneakers they wear! Shoes say so much about people ;)
Do you prefer the 70s, the 80s, or the 90s?
80s of course! Pop music was never better than in the 80s and some of the best movies ever were made (all the brat pack movies, Back to the Future, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Goonies, Stand by me, Ghostbusters, Dirty Dancing... ) Also we were born in the 80s ;)

Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Annika: "Three Keyboard Cat Moon" by Oxen from Threadless because I already loved all those trashy unicorn/wolf-shirts out there. Also it has cats!
Sandra: Still "Untitled" by the Bad Lab from Threadless. But "Lucky Day" by Matty8080 here from Teefury is a close second!!
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
Annika: My favorite were comics but probably because our tv only had a few channels. I read Clever and Smart a lot. And loved Scooby Doo on tv later.
Sandra: Definitely The Smurfs on tv. It was on every evening at 8 and allowed me and my sister to stay up until 8.15 ;)

I am going to go with love level Zinc. That's higher then topsoil, but lower then pancake batter. So it's pretty good.
