According to Wikipedia, they are looking to remake the movie. So it may be relevant (again) soon.

Soylent Green is the movie adapted from the SciFi novel "Make Room, Make Room" written by Harry Harrison, it starred Charlton Heston. Soylent Green, was the food of an overpopulated society that was "Made from the best stuff on earth" (people, hence the zombie crossover)

Technically it depends what zombie reference you believe. Zombies do consume bodies in mass amounts and the person is not alive the whole time. So yes they do eat the dead. If you want to be even more technical zombies do not require food. So :P

Yeah, I was consulted on it. In the comments of the vote, someone argued that Zombies would prefer fresh flesh instead of a ration. So I commented that Soylent Green was the Power Bar of choice for Zombies. That slogan flows much much better; and I was excited when they wanted to go with that change.

Jimiyo deserves the credit on the illustration. It is similar to an idea that I had in my head but his design that he came up with is way better.

It must be way tough to sell Ts that you you have to explain. It kind of defeats the purpose.

I don't know why you, and others, say this. I am a high school teacher and I can tell you for a fact that many, if not most of the, students in my school know of this movie and would get the reference. I plan on wearing this proudly and garnering jealous praise from students.
