WOW. I really love this. I love the colors of the design and it looks amazing on the dark color tee shirt. If I only had the money I would buy this for myself as an early b-day gift.
I might save this on my iphone and use it as a screen saver.
I'm really loving the the recent art thats been on here.
Keep it up teefury!!
I think this is really beautiful, but I agree with alagunay86, the perspective is a little off. Her feet look weird. But it is gorgeous. If I hadn't just bought one, I may be tempted, but stupid adult responsibilities get in the way.
Its a shame the bird in the background and the one nearest for foreground are copies...and the previously stated feet, its got a nice feel to it however, wish it fit me, because it really does have a lot going for itself.
I disagree on the perspective of her feet-I think it looks like she is rocking back on her heals-there is no suggestion in the landscape that would make it seem like she is standing flat-footed. JMHO.
I like it alot and I would buy it but I'm buying a pair of vans today and I think it looks better as a design rather than a shirt. But it's really good, love it!
You need to spread different types of shirts out a bit teefury. Now it's all artsy, a week ago it was all geeky/popbacteria. Mix it up a bit. And try to get more shirts that are just 'cool' (very unambiguous I know) and don't fall in one end of the spectrum as much. I don't want ultra geeky shirts, nor do I want super artsy shirts. Of course you need both, but also everything in between. I think you lose sales by having or kind of shirt everyday. People don't buy as easily when they bought one a day ortwo ago.
If I saw a guy wearing this shirt I would give him a hug. Because its pretty interesting, you just don't see many guys wearing shirt like that around these parts. :D
I think its sweet how many comments there are after just 2 and a half hours. I feel like teefury has really grew since just the few months that i'v been coming here everyday. And a lot of it probably has to do with the people running this site doing more things, like having themed weeks and such. I also find myself disappointed if i ever miss an interview with the artist which looking back on I think is pretty sweet. anyways i think the shirt's pretty cool, not something i'd wear. I think it might have been better with more colors
While this design isn't for me, I think it's great. The use of the color goes well with this imagery. There appears to be a nice weight to it and, to be honest, feels like an album cover. I do hope it sells well for you.
-Adam
I have to say, these last couple of shirts have blew my mind. I know people complain about art shirts, but i'd much rather take a shirt which shows the artist made an effort to go above and beyond, rather than batting out some easy mickey mouse vector. Just sayin'
I really, really wish I could buy todays shirt, and I am ashamed I missed out on yesterdays, but I just dont have the funds atm. stupid fortnightly payments.
I do like the design concept, but the devil's in the details:
Unless that girl's got mad scoliosis, her legs are about (to scale) 6 inches too far to our right. Also she has incredibly long thighs. From her waist to her knees is longer than her whole torso, when it should be roughly half.
In short (heh), the legs must have been stuck on from some other illustration.
The first thing I wondered was actually who had been holding the cut string before she cut it, but it looks like the illustration of the the top half of the girl was modified from a girl with her left hand at her side to one with scissors.

It's just a very artistic sense of anatomy and perspective... ;)
me like! I think the way she's standing and rocking back on her heels says something about her mood and disposition. It's like she's out casually picking flowers... only it's feathers. Btw, I'm sure no animals were harmed in the making of this print. lol
If you think of this as something surreal from a dream, suddenly all the nitpicking about where her fricken legs are placed doesn't matter as much! Solved! She's lassoing in birds, and you want to complain about how long her thighs are? Come ON..
Woo!! I'm so excited. I saw the preview for this T last night on Facebook and was pretty anxious to get it. Now today's here and I've bought mine! I absolutely love the colors; especially putting my favorite color on black. Amazing design. Amazing job!

Then that means you'll buy this!
Because she's letting the bird go with the scissors!
They were birds she found tied to a mushroom that an evil
munchkin tied them to. She ran home, got some scissors and
brought the birds out of the damp forest to free them in the field!

Don't worry about what other people say.
I mean, did you see the part where the people that are smart, actually see that she's standing on her heels?

Artistic sense? Not quite.
The artistic sense in someone would show that you don't have
to play by natures rules. You can do what you want, make people look like monsters and make monsters look like robots and have fish that look like tacos.
Cool design. Looks like you forgot to knock out the negative space between her left arm and her torso. Also her lower legs seem a bit short and the feet seem odd, as others have stated. Other than that I like the design a lot. Would have been nice to see it on some sort of organic color and not black.
I've been looking at these shirts since December and liked a few but didn't want any bad enough to sign up and buy one.... until now. I love the art I love the color!

Nothing I said was "awful". I may have been flip in my word choice, but I was certainly not rude or degrading. It was constructive criticism about a work by a professional artist. If the artist has any experience with clients, he or she has heard far worse.
As a trained artist and a professional designer I do tend to notice more minor flaws in a piece, but in this case I didn't mention them, I mentioned only what I consider to be major ones that affect the work negatively.
While it's true that in a surrealist piece an artist will often take liberties with nature, there is no indication that it was done purposefully in this work.
If all a designer ever hears is flattery, they can never grow as an artist or a person, which is a disservice to anyone who is trying to improve themselves or their work.
If you disagree with my criticism, I encourage you to support the work and the artist with your dollars.
Not gonna lie, the design is awesome. The concept is really cool.
But, all I can think of right now is... where is potatoes? what country is that?
......
(Do you own alot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite?
...
Maybe one is my favorite, I won it at bmx contest in Poznan (capital of potatoes).)
Translator fail?
I think the perspective of the image, which many seem to be concerned about, is less important than the focal point of the art: the birds. The larger-than-life birds are obviously intended to draw the eyes' attention, creating a backdrop of the remaining scene.
When I first looked at the image my impressions were of birds and color. Only after this did I realize I was looking up at the birds much the same way as the girl below them.
While I'm not a big fan of art created from stock work, I think the dramatic use of color and excellent use of focal points more than makes up for the aforementioned drawbacks.
As a trained monkey I do tend to find more things wrong with the perspective of a banana than most other people do.
You see. I'm a professional. That means everything when it comes to being an animal in the wild. Now, if I were a caged monkey... then you'd have every right to throw peanuts at me and I would in turn fling poo!

Simply a dope tee. I'm really feeling the colors, and the design is fresh, literally. It's one of the most original designs I've seen on a tee lately, and not from just TeeFury.
Well. This is interesting. That is definitely my stock photo (the girl, who is, incidentally, me) and I definitely never gave permission for that image to be used on a teefury shirt.

Word.
The image is a trace of some sort (looking at the original explains the odd perspective of the feet).
And while I think the design is pretty awesome, credit should fall where it's due, especially when money is being made.

How about you grant permission for this artist to use your image by stating so right here on this thread? It would be a really nice thing to do. Everyone reading this can learn a valuable lesson and then the artist who created this design can "pay it forward" and do something good for someone tomorrow.

Tell us about this design: I love feathers and uncommon hobbies. Thats why I decided to do this artwork. This girl has untypical activity. She catches birds and collect best feathers. However she dont abuse them and let them loose. I hope you to enjoy it!
Tell us about yourself: I live in Poland and work in small design studio. Beside designing Im addicted to ride a bmx. This is the best thing ever. Do you own alot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite? I dont have too much tees. Usually I wear tshirts that I design so I love all of them. Maybe one is my favorite, I won it at bmx contest in Poznan (capital of potatoes). It was my first slimfit tee.
What inspires you? Definitely movies and posters!! All things that surround me and apparel designers.
How did you get into art? Did I? I dont fell like an artist. Its fun to design!
What would be your dream job? I think I have my dream job now. What is more beautiful than smile on my client's face ? :) Design something that is admired. Fantastic!
