How's 2010 treatin' ya?
Like a lady deserves to be treated! Tee-hee! I should probably clarify that that was a joke since the people on Teefury can't see me and might assume that I am in fact a lady. I am a man.
Any predictions on the online apparel world for this year? Like, you're gonna blow it up?
I have something more sinister in store for this year then a mere explosion! Mwa ha ha haaaa!!! I'm going to slowly torture this year in front of it's wife and children! Or the other way around... I haven't decided yet. Maybe a little of both? Besides that I'm going to keep on making t-shirt designs, might try doing some sequential art and animation too, maybe. We'll see.
You are a young fellow, but there must be some widsom you've gleaned from your 20 something years on this world. Any theories, rules, or axioms you hold dear?
Most of my axioms I've stolen from popular culture "With great power comes great responsibility.", "Try not, Do or do not. There is no try.", "There's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path." stuff like that. I also believe in being positive, trying to see things from different perspectives, and giving people the benefit of the doubt. I think the anonymous nature of the internet has spawned a culture of negativity. I think people are forgetting how to relax, live and let live, and in general just lighten up a bit.
Who do you admire?
I admire anybody who works hard for what they want and gets it. I especially admire people who try to do something different even though everyone tells them it will never work but they do it anyway and succeed. I admire anybody who does things they're passionate about instead of just pandering to the lowest common denominator. Stan Lee, Jackie Chan, and Pixar are personal heroes of mine.
What is a pet peeve of yours?
Art thieves always grind my gears. They know that it's wrong, but they don't care. Then there's the stupidity aspect of it, why do they think that nobody will ever find out? It's a very poorly thought out crime. Stealing someone's art and trying to profit off of it is way worse to me than stealing their money. The more prints I get the more likely it is that someone will try to rip me off some day, when they do... I'm going to go Steven Seagal their ass to hell!
If you could turn back time, would there be anything you would change
or do different?
I'd buy an almanac, and give it to my past self so I could win a lot of money betting on things. Or send myself some winning lottery numbers or something. That or I think I could've been a lot more productive in the past with my art. I could be a lot farther and a lot better by now.
What is your favorite active social website?
I guess Facebook. I use it only for my real life friends, so it's kinda like my internet away from the rest of the internet.
Say Anything, (except the word "Anything.")
Since getting a few prints I sometimes get some e-mails asking for pointers. I think it's just simple as working hard and working smart. Practice your craft as much as you can. The more mileage you put on your pencil the better you'll be. The more work you produce the better your chances are of being chosen. Also what helps for me is setting specific goals and giving myself deadlines. My goal earlier this year was to have 6 prints before the year ended. Wasn't really something I thought I could do, but it was something to aim for. Seeing as how that worked out so well, my goal for next year will ONE BILLION PRINTS!
Anything you want to promote?
Don't really have anything to promote at the moment. I guess I could mention my music project http://myspace.com/kissmyaesthetic that's where the "kissmyaesthetic" name comes from on my twitter account. It's just a hobby, started doing it in highschool, I don't have any aspirations with it or anything. It's just weird instrumental stuff I do on my computer when I'm not making art.

Thanks. In hindsight though I should've put "Sandro" instead, because the other turtles are named after the artist's first names not their last names, haha.
