Not sure if I'd buy it but I do like it. Sort of a blending art style, with the very Asian styled dragon (or is it a lion-dog?) with a rather American style girl. Kudos.

Beautiful and it does not reflect any kind of influence of sci-fi or geekery, which while I like those things, does not always appeal to everyone. Good job. Just wish I liked the style of shirts they were on better. I have bought so many tee fury shirts, but none of them I have been able to wear past the 5th washing :(

If I were made of money I would buy one of everything that missmonster creates, but since I am not, I will settle for the fabulous shirts that keep up showing up here on TeeFury. I really loved the Krampus one from back during the holiday season, and this one is really cool too. I was expecting some tentacles when I saw that the featured shirt was by missmonster and was pleasantly surprised to see a lovely lass fighting/riding a furry stylized wolf.
Someone earlier made a comment that all her "good bits" are covered by her hair, I beg to differ, she has cute feet and her tummy is taut and tone...The wolf though, is completely nekid under it's fur, and for that reason alone I will buy not a single print of this fine shirt.......

9 bucks for a t shirt or 9 bucks for gas...
for me, this week just bites money wise. Rent due, health insurance due, car insurance due, had to buy groceries, so on and so forth. So, while realistically i could spend 9 bucks on a t-shirt, i've already seen my GalacticTreasury account take an almost %1,000 hit and don't feel like making it $1,009.

I'm sure others are in similar situations.

This artwork is intriguing....although her expression and posture is suggestive of an ecstatic or possibly orgasmic state of consciousness (the stiff legs seem to suggest the latter), I would love to have seen it even pushed further, such as tilting the head back and opening the mouth in a sigh. I'm not sure yet if I'm buying, but definitely in consideration. All in all, well done.

Like many, I tend to immediately criticize the over-popular, i.e. essentially naked chicks and dragons. It is only because if a design utilizes the over-popular, it needs to be incredible. This is. Power colors with great focus. A solid tee. -$11 for me!

That made me think... Missmonster's designs are always (correct me if I'm wrong) printed on black. Wouldn't it be so freakin' awesome if one of her designs were printed on another color, especially a pastel color, 'cause someone would see you walkin' down the street in it, and they'd be all, "Aw, look at that cute little light blue/yellow/pink/etc. shirt with a- HOLY Voyager, LOOK AT THAT TOTALLY BADASS DEMON-SUCCUBUS-SQUIDWOLF-MONSTER DESIGN!!!!! XDDD I shall never judge preemptively again!" And just like that, you've managed to change that person's life... forever.

OK so I was curious from wanting to see the inspiration of this as I'll be wearing it and all, pretty neat. However, according to the tarot sites I saw the strength card was replaced with the lust card... which is of a woman in ecstacy riding a lion, quite like this. Just interesting, is all.

So I was about to go to bed after a long weekend of drinking with some of my friends [that I rarely get to see anymore] when I was scrolling through the apps on my phone and realized that I hadn't checked out the Daily Tees app in at least a month or two. I aaw this awesome design and knew instantly that I had to have this shirt. I think this is a great design for a Tee, also did miss Monster create all those other Monsters on the side? If so Miss Monster is an awesome artists in many different mediums, and that is exciting.
Also to everyone who wants to sit on it and wait, don't. Nothing is worse then being up watching Late Night TV or at a bar and thinking "WesleyCrusher, I forgot to get that TeeFury shirt." it happened to me this week with the Alligator shirt.

I like the design, but it's on yet another black shirt. My friends are beginning to get concerned about my mental health. Love the flow of the lines and how clean they are, but the gray just doesn't pop enough for me, like the red does. Although, I suppose I understand that to be the defining element of this shirt.

Yep, this is the first shirt to scream at me. Just love the design and sure all my friends will ask about it. Most of the stuff I see on here is subpar (and too geeky) compared to this kind of artistry. Very impressed with this design. That's why I'm getting a second...just in case something were to happen to it. Will continue to look a Miss Monster's work though because Uncle Dapper needs a new home!

i remember this from lj. it originally had huge bewbs and someone polity suggested monster might want to warn people of the nudeness, she acted like a baby about it. very unprofessional.

Miss Monster has always been one of my favorite tee-fury designers, her work is always original and interesting and her ability to render 3-d forms with minimal colors and shading is brilliant. To the girls that are for some reason apprehensive about wearing a "nude woman" on their chests.

First off, she's not nude. I have seen far more "nudity" on television and print ads. Second...i drew this design, i plan on wearing this shirt all over the place and GASP! IM A CHICK!!

9 bucks for a t shirt or 9 bucks for gas...

for me, this week just bites money wise. Rent due, health insurance due, car insurance due, had to buy groceries, so on and so forth. So, while realistically i could spend 9 bucks on a t-shirt, i've already seen my GalacticTreasury account take an almost %1,000 hit and don't feel like making it $1,009.

I'm sure others are in similar situations.

I most deff am in the same kindof situation, rent looming, electric barely paid, no job and I still feel the need to spend the 20 bucks to get 2 haha. Way to go awesome design.

Yeah, I'm here at least thrice a day if I have net connection. I paid enough tuition fees, why do I need to pay attention now? I won't really comment unless I've got something to say though. Too many people comment about not having cash or sleeping on it... no one cares, but posters assume people do. It's called the spotlight effect.

I'd rather have an amazing t-shirt than a giveaway. If your hamburger is delicious, you won't need to add a toy. I hope everyone checks out her website since MissMonster's stuff is amazing. I've tried my hand at etch glass art and those squids would require so much attention to detail.

Drou, i didn't call in anyone. That person did all that on their own and i wasn't even aware of what they were doing until those two were already going at it. I don't control my friends and would have NEVER EVER told anyone to go do that. I should have put a stop to it as soon as it started, that was my mistake. But next time, come ask me about what was going on than assume i would do that. I'd really appreciate the benefit of the doubt more.

They made a thing over not wanting to see boobs at work ( while making sure to critique them which i found very odd) I told them to scroll past or not go to LJ at work. It is my journal and i feel like I should be allowed to post whatever content i wanted. They refused the solution and continued to fight which made me think that well...the issue was more about them wanting to tell me what to do than anything else.

The other person posting pictures and calling her names made a bad situation worse and far more dramatic than it needed to be. It went from two people simply not a agreeing on something to a huge mess and i wish i had just deleted it immediately. Lesson learned.

I don't recall acting like a "baby" about anything OR her boobs being HUGE...the preview pic was tiny and you *really* had to lean in to see them.So please don't use inflammatory words to embellish what happened and make me look bad, i REALLY do not appreciate that.

Other than that, glad you like the owl mask sculpt. It was a lot of fun to do! :)

monster, as i recall they didn't "refuse" the situation. you refused by not even considering saying that the art wasn't safe to view at work. you said it's your journal and you didn't care if you posted nude pictures or not and if people were at work and that it was their fault for looking at their journal at work, not your fault for not posting a warning.
if i politely asked someone to at least give a warning and they refused, i would probably be a little mad myself. i remember, it wasn't until a few comments did you say "oh sorry i'll consider giving warnings next time". had you said that to their original comment instead of getting annoyed/angry/whatever, i'm sure none of it would had ever happened.

"the preview pic was tiny" there was no preview picture or cut that i remember. it was the full picture on your lj.

i wasn't part of it, i just really remember it. and yes, it is a lesson learned.

as for the owl, was it ever finished? painted? i'd love to see it if it is. i love owls :)

The cloth/hair that is covering the naughty bits bothers me. Not because it covers the naughty bits. It just seems to be inconsistent. I want to see where it comes from and I cannot. I can only see where it flows from her abdomen toward her rear. I do not see it on the other side of her at all.

Drou, you are right i should have handled it differently. But i have to disagree with you on what happened. I did offer a solution and they didn't like it and ...it became us butting heads and refusing to budge. We disagreed, simple as that. I wanted to post what i wanted, they wanted a safe space so they could look at LJ at work. Had that not happened, im sure we would have just agreed to disagree and the cavalry would not have been summoned to come make it even WORSE.

I remember the image not being large enough for "huge boobs" to be leaping out at anyone. It was not that big in consideration for not making people f-lists super long or formatted weird ( see, i do have some consideration ;P ) I had also posted previous WIP shots of the same art with boobs showing and was never met with any problems...so i thought it was really weird that it caused trouble all the sudden.

This design fits perfectly for International Women's Day btw. The dragon could be seen as the patriarchy which the woman is fighting. Naked of course to oppose the sexualisation of the female body!

It is both hot and makes me think. Its clear she has some sort of strong emotion, I just can't tell which. I just cannot pin point it. Also, the smoke coming out of the wolfs mouth is a nice way to fill the left side of the shirt and meshes well with the hair of the wolf and the woman. I like it lots.

This shirt makes me think of the Fantasia 2000 animation with the forest that catches on fire and the forest spirit that dwells there. My favorite animation from that film.

What are you even chattering about? I have been happy with the way all of my shirts printed except the one printed from teefurycopy Apparel. Is that what you are referring to? Gosh what...TEN shirts i was totally happy with vs. one i disliked and received complaints about from the people that bought them. Yes, what a picky witch iam... clearly iam the one at fault.

Interesting since i never "talked sh*t" about the teefurycopy shirt. Sounds like someone is putting words in my mouth! Nice.

Which she'd have every right to do. A site that prints below expectations is not holding up their basic obligation, which is to print a high-quality shirt, and to pay you what they promise. And while I would argue lots of TF shirts are not remotely high quality designs, I have never seen them send me a low quality print.

I do find it interesting how you're so sure of this happening, though. If there are two things I don't remember seeing around the shirt world, it's miss monster bitching about a print, and your handle. Odd.

That's Paul, the owner of teefurycopy apparently. I disliked some corner cutting that was done on my Doorknocker shirt over at his company. He talked down to me about shirt printing and left a bad taste in my mouth but agreed to take refunds from unhappy customers.

I thought it was over and done with, lesson learned....but apparently he can't seem to let go of the whole thing and has dragged the butthurt here which is pretty unbelievable.

That made me think... Missmonster's designs are always (correct me if I'm wrong) printed on black. I put everything on dark colors because i like to wear my own shirts and i hate light colored clothing ( my bra always shows through because light colored stuff tends to be so see through)

Ah, looks like I'm not the only one who thinks of that Maroon 5 cover art when I see this design. I had to google the cover (it's called "Songs about Jane", apparently), and it's not that similar, really.

This one actually looks good, while the Maroon 5 one looks like the cheap and tacky cover of a record by a cheap and tacky band.

I'm one of those people who comment all the time, and yes I do talk about sleeping on it or maybe even not having cash, but I really don't think that is worse than not saying anything at all. As a person who has created artistic works, I'd rather hear people's opinions on it, saying you want to sleep on it means you find it okay but not TOO great, saying you'd buy it if you had the cash mean you like it, and I think every comment is useful in its own way to the artists. Would you rather no one commented on your work just because they didn't have something significant to say? Well, this is my opinion.

That being said, I'm amazed at how many people are in love with this shirt! I don't think it's *that* much better than the past ones. Not to say this isn't nice, but I mean the previous ones weren't terrible either. It's a nice fluent design, but as usual, not my taste.. :) Reminds me very much of the artwork for the album Shogun by Trivium, which has a mythical aura in general.

She is such a good artist is all mediums! Her lines run very smoothly and beautifully. Her sculptures and masks are truly magnificent. If I had the money, I would totally buy the owl mask from her. She looks like she knows what she is doing. :)
Why do I love her? She leaves a little mark on the world hat others can enjoy, and it inspires me to be able to stay through with my art and be as creative as I can! ^_^

I really love missmonsters designs, they're bold, eccentric, look absolutely amazing on dark shirts and make you look absolutely amazing wearing them (I'm wearing one right now ;D)

I'm still getting wonderful comments from the last missmonster shirt I bought (Diablo), so KHAAAAAAAN they are worth the (rather short) wait for the shipping all the way over here! Oooo, oh man, I can see a silver shirt looking so awesome w/ one of your designs on it! When I originally had the thought, I was kinda thinking of that kind of buttercream yellow that TF prints a decent amount of designs on, just 'cause I personally love that color, or a light blue, 'cause I totally have the same problem of bra-showing-through-age! ;P And nothing's more frustrating than having a kickass shirt that you can't wear anywhere 'cause it's so see-through.

Oh, and yes. Yes, *gosh*, MissMonster, you are just so, so selfish, daring to want to make things that you yourself like and can wear! I mean, how can you even look at yourself in the mirror every day?? Oooo, oh man, I can see a silver shirt looking so awesome w/ one of your designs on it! When I originally had the thought, I was kinda thinking of that kind of buttercream yellow that TF prints a decent amount of designs on, just 'cause I personally love that color, or a light blue, 'cause I totally have the same problem of bra-showing-through-age! ;P And nothing's more frustrating than having a kickass shirt that you can't wear anywhere 'cause it's so see-through.

Oh, and yes. Yes, *gosh*, MissMonster, you are just so, so selfish, daring to want to make things that you yourself like and can wear! I mean, how can you even look at yourself in the mirror every day?? It seems quite obvious to me from your incredible popularity, loyal fanbase, and seemingly runaway success that you have *no idea* how to make things other people like. ;)

(Just so there's absolutely no confusion, yes, yes, that was friendly and well-intentioned sarcasm. I'm from D.C., where we show our love and affection by teasing and making fun of each other constantly. Makes total sense, right? Of course right! 'Cause everything that goes on in our nation's capital makes complete and total sense always! ;D)

She is such a good artist is all mediums! Her lines run very smoothly and beautifully. Her sculptures and masks are truly magnificent. If I had the money, I would totally buy the owl mask from her. She looks like she knows what she is doing. :)
Why do I love her? She leaves a little mark on the world hat others can enjoy, and it inspires me to be able to stay through with my art and be as creative as I can! ^_^

I totally agree w/ you, this particular design would look awful on a light colored tee.

But are you saying that a black is better than any other shirt, based purely on the color of it's dye? Don't shirts of color have just as much of a right to be worn?? I have a dream, where all shirts can live together equally, in peace and harmony, regardless of the colors in their prints or the cloths that they've been cut from! *imaginary crowd cheering in my head*

Hah, I didn't say anything about the black shirt because I know a LOT of people love that color and it's fitting for MissMonster's work, but since it's being talked about... I don't ever buy black shirts anymore. I live in the south and it's waaay too hot for black. In fact, the two MM shirts I own are the dark blue Tentatiger, and one of her hand-printed tanks.

So YES, I would freaking LOVE to see more MissMonster designs on other colors. Since her work contains such bold, vibrant color work it only seems right to do other tee colors now and again. :) (Which does happen, but black is definitely favored.)

I love missmonster because 2 reasons.

1: Her designs are absolutely beautiful! I love the curves and the smoothness that they present. (in most anyway, some designs aren't SO smooth)

I like the art work... there is something sexual about it, with out being losing it's classiness. I enjoy pieces that have a nice flow to them, this one definitely does. I wouldn't wear it as a shirt, just because it wouldn't fit into my wardrobe without sticking out like a sore thumb, hence ruining the art. But congrats, hope it sells well. :)

MissMonster is one of the coolest artists on the internet, always trying something new and different. Fever is a great example of her clean, flowing style and skilled character work.

Tell us a bit about this design.
This is a piece i did purely for myself after a really stressful time of doing nothing but art for others. It was actually heavily inspired by a song by Fever Ray called I'm Not Done. Nothing to do with lyrics but sometimes i hear a song and an image immediately pops into my head. I had also been researching a tattoo design for a client...the Strength Tarot card. Combine the two and bam! This design.

You've created a lot of great products like soap, masks and stuffed animals- which has been the most fun so far? What product are you most excited to try in the future?
I think the masks are the most fun! I like making art that people can wear. I really enjoyed seeing what customers did with the demon masks..painting custom colors and making costumes around them. It was so cool.

Was there a defining moment on your path to becoming an artist? What were some of the important steps along the way?
Well, growing up reading comics and horror magazines first set me on the path to wanting to do this for a living. I used to want to do practical special effects. My mom took me to a SPFX exhibit when i was about 12 or 14 and i will never forget how fired up and inspired i was afterwards. I think the things that shoved me in the direction of doing it full time was working about 6 different jobs that i couldn't stand in my early twenties. All i could think about was going home and doing art after my shift. I figured out that im just not cut out for anything but this and calling my own shots. So, make it work...do or die!

Apart from other artwork, what inspires you? Food, books, music, or something else?
Music, big time. Like i mentioned before, sometimes songs make images pop out of nowhere and that becomes a piece. I listen to almost everything...classical and metal are two favorites right now.

If you could have any kind of pet, whether real or imagined, what kind would you choose? And most importantly, what would you name it?
Oh man this is the best question ever. A Gryphon, hands down. His name would be Max or Dave. That or a big fluffy monster, Wild Things style...the book versions, not the depressed hipster ones.

Any tips for artists who admire your work?
Work every day, be disciplined! Always push yourself and don't be lazy.
