A word from the curator:
A great instrument is never quite what it seems to be at first glance...
Tell us the background of this design.
I got my first guitar when I was 11. It was a stunning Gibson SG... knock-off. My dad picked it out as he's a HUGE AC/DC fan, and the SG is Angus Young's choice axe. I recently moved and found the 17 year old relic, missing strings, busted input and placed it in it's new home. That's where the inspiration came from.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I had short-sighted aspirations of being a stand-up comedian that never went further than a notebook and a few friends.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
That I remained a Dane Cook far too long; I gave him too many chances.
Name a few of your favorite things.
My B.C. Rich Warbeast Rock Band guitar, my daughter's Glow Doodle, Burger King's Angry Tendercrisp (no longer on the menu, I've lost 10 lbs.)
What are your feelings about snakes?
I'm glad I live in Wisconsin now, I encountered enough when I lived in California to know that I'm not a fan of their existence.
Would you rather fight a kangaroo, a komodo dragon, or a monkey?
A kangaroo would kick me in the baby batter bakery, a monkey would out maneuver me, so I think I'd choose a komodo dragon... even if I lost, I get to boast that I fought a dragon!
The mountains vs. the beach: which would win the battle?
C) Dann Matthews, Dragon Slayer.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Lo-Fi Funk by Jeff Battocletti, the shirt color, large design and contents compliment my figure.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
I only play Rock Band and a few Mario games, so Gaming is out. I don't read NEARLY enough, so Reading is out. So Movies wins. My favorite movie of all time is City of God. I usually go for the more ridiculous and hilarious, but City of God affected me emotionally, and it's rare that a movie can depress me.
What inspires your work?
I've found that I can't try to create something. I have a folder filled to the brim with bad designs that I tried to force the creativity. Usually a random thought leads to my favorite personal designs.
Any shout outs?
Araia, when you learn to read, I want you to give me a hug after you finish reading this. Robbie Lee, he opened a door for me that has really helped me financially, and I love his robots. Evan Ferstenfeld for having an amazing imagination and for being so patient about our collabs. Brianna, for being awesome at all times.
