i dont get what it says ? - true_one

  • Chuyyysaid 183 weeks ago

Agreed, is there a translation to help me explain if I did purchase this shirt?
  • scotishstrikersaid 183 weeks ago

    what dose it mean? help
  • AlvinPingsaid 183 weeks ago

Hah! This shirt is hilarious! Typography rules :-)
  • Jamessaid 183 weeks ago

This is basically filler text used for websites and stuff when they are creating the site and have no actual content..Dunno if it has any real meaning.
  • peppersagooddogsaid 183 weeks ago

So does Rikkib get one of her own shrits?
Grats on the print anyway ;)
  • AlvinPingsaid 183 weeks ago

Lorem ipsum, BTW, is one of the most common placeholder texts.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorem_ipsum

Lorem Ipsum is fake text which designers use when they don't have the real text yet. It's placeholder text.

I've used it in this design because i didn't really have anything to say, but I had a nice illustration style to do it in :)
  • zeninjasaid 183 weeks ago

Nice. I was actually wearing that bird shirt to the right today
  • collisiontheorysaid 183 weeks ago

always loved this one. congrats rikkib!
  • j3conceptssaid 183 weeks ago

excellent work mate, really loving this one.
  • parad0xsaid 183 weeks ago

I perused your work a few days ago and really liked this design. Way to go RikkiB. Glad it got printed.
  • RikkiBsaid 183 weeks ago

Whenever anyone says 'peruse' I think of Wayne's World ;)
    Thanks guys!
  • laynesaid 183 weeks ago

RikkiB - I feel weird asking you this - like grade school first kiss weird - but, are you really an F? because I really thought you were a M.

I am sure I look like an idiot - but really, I thought you were a Guy all this time (all this time meaning over the last year I have enjoyed your artwork and collected your tees from various places).

Can I still come visit in Australia when we come for a surf?

  • laynesaid 183 weeks ago

Lorem Ipsum generator <-- a site I use to generate filler text ;)
  • RikkiBsaid 183 weeks ago

Ha, I'm pretty definitely a girl, yes. Everyone assumes I'm a guy, but in the world of the interwebs that can't hurt :)

You also have a pretty androgynous name, are you an M or an F?
You can certainly come visit :)
  • j3conceptssaid 183 weeks ago

ha ha ha ha, and so we have an answer! i had no idea this whole time :) and yes we should still try and nail that colab.
  • laynesaid 183 weeks ago

I am male. (whoa that sounds very caveman like).
  • Punisaid 183 weeks ago

I still don't understand what it is. T__T
Seems just fully useless to me... o_o?
  • quakerninjasaid 183 weeks ago

This is great RikkiB. I like how well it all flows together.

    This may help:

"Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book."

Many print and web designers use this dummy text in large paragraph form for general layouts and creating mock ups - so this shirt pays homage to the art of the layout!

  • david_ariassaid 183 weeks ago

so when will TeeFury ship to Canada, without charging an arm and a leg? I'd like to pick up some shirts from this site!
  • Silent-tsaid 183 weeks ago

Ditto David, I was just going to say I wished they shipped here. I'm only in Toronto, we're not that far from the border! Especially as a graphic designer who actually gets the joke, I'd love to have this. I hope when they finally do introduce international shipping they'll give other countries a chance to get the old tees.
  • laynesaid 183 weeks ago

Unfortunately once a tee is gone, its gone forever - we only do one run of tees

The artists here retain all rights to their artowork and we pay them $1 for every tee sold - we are working very hard to get international order processing online and hope to have affordable shipping options online soon.

Our agreements with the artists prevents us from printing and selling the design in a traditional online store because we do not own the rights to the art.
  • Phadrussaid 183 weeks ago

Hey! Your Australian too! Its weird, I checked out your site when the bird shirt was on Woot, and even saw the JJJ tee, but never made the connection.
  • david_ariassaid 183 weeks ago

Yes! Thats the problem, I hate to see good tee designs go before my eyes...and I think the concept of just selling for one day is brilliant. It makes the idea of limited edition so much better. Heck, I'd even pay more than $9.00 for the tee if TeeFury shipped internationally. For a limited edition tee, this is a steal! Not to mention the opportunity for the artists and TeeFury to gain sales from International consumers.
  • Arrowsaid 183 weeks ago

Said this before but you got skillz!
You're not a artist huh? haha
    Congrats on the print!
  • RikkiBsaid 183 weeks ago

Actually, I think I prefered it when I was a guy... people talk to you strangely when you're an internets girl.

Hey Phadrus, where are you from?
  • Phadrussaid 183 weeks ago

Albury-Wodonga, NSW/VIC border. If your ever traveling along the Hume, shoot me a message and I'll buy you a coffee.
    Dan
  • Phadrussaid 183 weeks ago

And now I feel like a creep. That was so nothing to do with your lady status.
  • RikkiBsaid 183 weeks ago

Haha, I'm in WA, so it's quite the journey :)
But if I'm ever there, will do.
  • noFunksaid 183 weeks ago

  • principalsaid 183 weeks ago

Nice shirt, just bought my first from here.

I was wondering about this below:

    How are your shirts printed?

We print all of our tees using state-of-the-art screen-printing processes. No iron-ons or heat transfers here!

What does state of the art screen printing mean?
  • meltysaid 183 weeks ago

Drat... Just when TeeFury posts a shirt that I'm really digging, I can't even afford the $11.00 after paying a deposit on a new apartment... Or can I?

    ~

    Me: "Hello? Mom?"
    Mom: "Hey there buckaroo!"
    Me: "How are ya?"
Mom: "Hmm... Doin' purdy good. Whatcha' calling for?"
Me: "Er... yeah, um.. Can you float me some money? I can pay you back as soon as I get my next check!"
    Mom: "..."
Me: "Mom? Did you hear me?"

    ~

    ><
  • peppersagooddogsaid 183 weeks ago

with this many people clamoring for international shipping at whatever the cost, why not just offer the fedx or dhl price until you CAN work out a deal? if i really wanted an american shirt and i was stationed in germany or something i would pay $20 shipping on a $10 shirt if it was only printing one day ever. but that's just me.
  • ocean1009said 183 weeks ago

    Love it!
  • BadlyDrawnGuitarsaid 183 weeks ago

In for one. Second Teefury purchase so far, and probably many more to come.
  • atomicchildsaid 183 weeks ago

    congrats great print
  • j3conceptssaid 183 weeks ago

    ohhhh, might sell out!
  • SilverTervsaid 183 weeks ago

Had to have this...have Rood en Wit (right name? got it from another Unnamed Site) and love it; didn't know it was also your work until I checked your website. 7th grade Latin was rusty, had no idea this was a variation on Cicero. Huh.

Wish I'd picked up a few of the other shirts earlier this week... fresh, innovative designs. Look forward to ordering more of these unique shirts. Great concept; kudos to TeeFury and best wishes for continued success!
  • tom_servosaid 183 weeks ago

    Scored the very last one.
  • deaddudesaid 183 weeks ago

Cheers on the sellout. I love this design, and was pondering between small and medium while it sold out (was kind of aiming to snag the last one myself)

I wasn't sure if I wanted to make the statement that A) I had nothing to say and B) I'm a design geek, but I decided it would attract other design geeks.
  • taddictsaid 183 weeks ago

congrats on the sell out!! bring out the new design buhahahahahahha
  • RikkiBsaid 183 weeks ago

    YAY sold out!
Thanks everyone for your purchases, I hope you love and hug your tee for many years to come :)
  • j3conceptssaid 183 weeks ago

    hey congrats!
  • Arrowsaid 183 weeks ago

    sweet, another sellout! congrats!
  • bizartistsaid 183 weeks ago

Pretty much just logged in to express my love of this design...and my

    ABSOLUTE BLINDING RAGE (!!!)

that the site choked for me while I was trying to order my large (honestly, I'd prefer a good old fashion submit button to an AJAX call on the order form, or at least a status message, but that's the usability geek in me ;).

Left work, came home to try again, and bam, greeted with a sold out message. Grrr.

Please fix so I can order the next bit of awesome swag. I am a consumer smurfette :D
  • collisiontheorysaid 183 weeks ago

Wow congrats rikkib! How many shirts is a sellout?
  • RikkiBsaid 183 weeks ago

Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
