Nice Shirt! If I had money I would probably buy it...which reminds me of something else...
As anyone seen Suicide Mouse.avi before? The story behind the supposed original is quite horrifying (and plays into the evil empire theme). Not to mention the remake on YouTube is still pretty creepy even if it isn't the real thing.

And just read the information at the side of the video, I believe it has the story. Oh and this is your official warning...THIS IS KINDA CREEPY STUFF! I know I got weirded out by it.
I have huge respect for Oliver's work :) I however find this silhouette a bit off-proportion. The work would have been first-base if it weren't for the pants :) Rock on :)
I like the idea overall, but I agree with the other postings, stating that the shorts throw this out of whack. What I think may have tied in the shorts better, is if the yellow clog looking shoes were included.

It is a decent design, just ... eh, feels like it is lacking something to spice it up. It needs a twist... something that makes you go "ahh!" It is just too obvious as is.
definite no. i'm a hardcore star wars fangirl but i'm not down with mixing vader and mickey mouse. i'll stick with the other star wars shirts i've gotten on teefury (the plaid vader one and the terminated march mash-up)

Back to this shirt design: I really don't like this nor do I understand its popularity. It looks like it could have been whipped up in a matter of minutes. And what's with the stupid pants that several have complained about? I agree with them: STUPID. I certainly would vote for dozens more of the other designs before requesting that this one gets printed.
That being said, I want to congratulate the designer on the printing and I hope that those customers who order the shirts are happy with their choice.
I think vader would wonder why he is being associated with Mickey mouse. Yes, Disney is evil...but really? Mickey mouse is perhaps the most annoying icon out of Disney. And didn't someone do a Mickey shirt last month that had a similar Disney is evil theme? Is there NO other way to show this concept than with that aweful mouse?! Please, someone, no more Mickey mouse.
Man, I've been following teefury for a while, but this past week or two i havent liked almost any of the shirts... Look at the sideart? why not choose the colorful like umbrella man? ah well
If you ever put a shirt like this up again, where so many are against buying it, perhaps you should offer a teefury related one. How about a "Where is the archive?" t-shirt? that alone would have been a better choice then a silly starwars/mickey combo.

I have a pair of boxers just like yours Darth! The portraits in the portfolio are great. They've got a flavour of the french graffiti artist C215 - very nice indeed.
This shirt totally reminds me of when you enter the gift shop after the star tours ride @ disneyland....they have all these stuffed disney characters dressed like star wars characters....
It is apparent how little effort the artist put into this design. T-shirts may stop fitting, get spilled on and wear out; yet they can become more personal and special than album artwork is ever capable of being.
I dunno, it looks like it was designed in paint. I know art is art, but this is just cheesy-looking. Maybe if it were hand-drawn like the rest of the side art. Plus, Darth Mickey on powder blue clashes. Should be on the silver shirt like the guy's version.

Teefury, I'm afraid this will be my last visit. You put a note in the side saying "art curated by..." but where is the art? Teasers in the sidebar? This shirt is Darth Vader with Mickey Mouse pants. That's not art. I'm having a hard time believing it even generates money. I don't know if you're just too busy working with DBH or what, but I haven't seen a true piece of art on this site for a while now.
As you can clearly see by many of the comments here, and you would see even more if the archives were still up, people are not happy with what you're producing. This is an offense to artists and even the cotton you print shirts on. And when people speak up and say that they're not happy.. the same people that have gotten you this far, spending tens, even hundreds of dollars on your shirts, those comments get deleted?
I'm sorry, but that's just bad policy. I can't willfully support a system like that, and I have no doubt other people feel the same way.
I'm sure this comment will be deleted very shortly, but I really hope at some point you reconsider your business standards. The site had a great reputation [and follow through] at one point... I really don't know what happened.
Guys, let's use a little common sense. He couldn't have used any of the sideart because it's either being sold elsewhere or was made for a specific event or company. In other words, he may not retain the rights for them, but is allowed to display them.
Why this design then? My guess would be he had a sketch laying about, or he made it for something else that never got used. Why not make a little cash on something that is otherwise collecting dust?
Why not another portrait, that would obviously sell well? Well, I'm sure those portraits aren't too easy to pump out. The time it would take to make a new portrait vs the cash received from one day of selling just would not be efficient.
But what of your DAILY complaints? Just tone it down, really. It's one thing to voice your opinion, but it's entirely another thing to attack the company providing for you. If you don't like it, don't buy it! It's impossible to appeal to EVERY person's taste each and every day. If you'd read the comments, there ARE some people who like this shirt. Take a chill pill and wait for tomorrow!

I don't think it's an offense to artists, and I complain on here nearly every day but really if you think on it, there's 365 days a year. That is a lot of art to get on these shirts and I bet there's slow times where there's slim pickins on artwork to print.
I'm not sure about the "people aren't happy with [the site]" since I'm sure for every person that feels they need to comment to complain about the tee, there are many more who simply buy the shirt without ever having logged in. I for one don't really have a problem with the "direction" TeeFury is going. I buy one every month and a half or so and that's just fine with me.
And finally, enough about the godd*mn archive. We know it's gone. Every day the same f*cking people say it's gone. You can't tell me how "oh if we had the archive we could know if people complained about it" NO. IT'S THE SAME PEOPLE. I'm sure someone at TeeFury is on it.
Seemed like the designer cared more about the money he was making off of the shirt than anything else. Feels sloppy and the red pants are too distracting.
A word from the curator: Some call Disney the evil empire...
Tell us the background of this design. This was the result of me trying to splice together two iconic images with simple shapes. How did you get started designing t-shirts? Who knows? I hate t-shirts. Honestly, it was a case of me wanting to work with bands that I like. I really prefer more sustainable media like an album layout to tees though. What advice would you offer to aspiring designers? Aim for more than t-shirts. What would be your dream job? Eating sandwiches all day while people shove thousands of dollars into my pockets while doing so. What are your feelings about New Years resolutions? They're for suckers. Set a goal to achieve at some point in the year. That works a lot better. Don't be a sucker. Do you prefer video games, board games, or athletic games? I prefer athletically playing a video game version of a board game. For example, jumping up and down and playing monopoly on super nintendo. Ninja vs. ghost: which would win the battle? I would. I'm invincible. Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much. Any shirt that looks good on me is my favorite shirt.
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all? I loved the original transformers from the 80s. I'm still bitter than I can't turn into a truck. What are a few of your favorite websites? www.OMGPosters.comwww.gomedia.uswww.getyourbasketballon.com Any shout outs?
