Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where do you live, what do you do?

I'm a Minneapolis transplant doing motion design and compositing for Make. Outside of work I illustrate, play with typography, and watch tons of movies.

Who are you artistic inspirations?

I'm drawn to people creating strong concept-based works like Frank Chimero, Geoff Mcfetridge, and the people at Labour and Buck.

What got you into art? Did you ever have an alternate career in mind?

I wanted to be a comic book artist since I was a child but I went to school for computer science.

I liked computers but, not enough apparently. Then I discovered graphic design, which I understood at the time as being art + computers.

What's your computer set up like?

iMac + Cintiq 21UX + scanner + a couple hard drives for backup

Do you have any unique or strange hobbies?

My wife calls me the Composer of Crap because I like to make up really stupid songs.
