Well, this is kind of a sequel to my first print at Threadless, Icebergs just wanna have fun. The concept seemed a hit, so I figured I'd give it another shot. Big creations of nature coming to life, doing something quite trivial. This one was a bit more gross, but still fun I think.
Emptees.com has been a great inspiration too, lots of shirt art, lots of great tips.
Keep on going, that's the only way to get better. Take a look at what everyone else is doing, but don't copy their style. Really, really look at other art, why is it awesome? Is it the linework, are the colors making this piece great, whats the thing that makes it great? And try to apply the things you learn from other peoples art to your own style.
What would be your dream job?
Hmmm, right now I run a little webdesign company with a mate, which is great. I'm in the process of starting my own little line of shirts and other cool stuff right now. Hoping to launch in february, it's been in the works long enough. That would be pretty much my ideal job, running the whole ordeal .
My feelings towards aliens are quite good actually. They come to visit me every once in a while. Bunch o good fellas, I don't like Mike though. He came along one time, and he's just not a pleasant alien. He didn't even try to adapt to our customs the tiniest bit. A couch is not meant to be eaten, Mike! You better get me a new one. Also, it seems like they can't get their head around the idea of playing cards. Last time we tried to play poker. Needless to say I am one deck of cards short. They made a nice err.. thing.. out of it though. I have yet to figure out what it is. Macgyver could learn stuff from these guys.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
I visit Smashingmagazine and Noupe everyday, along with Emptees. Conceptart.org is great too, lot's of awesome stuff there. Recently discovered Teemagnet, which is a nice way to check out today's shirts at various daily shirt sites. Saves me from checking the sites one by one.
Any shout outs?
